6 EDC PERFORMANCES THAT DEFINED THE FESTIVAL ⚡️ 🌼 6. Avicii - EDC LA Coliseum, 2010
20 years old. “Levels” didn’t even exist yet.
The final EDC at the LA Coliseum before the move to Vegas, capturing Avicii right before he changed dance music forever. 🌼 5. Kaskade - circuitGROUNDS + Redux Sunrise - EDC Las Vegas 2016
A massive circuitGROUNDS headline set… followed by an unannounced 4AM Redux sunrise session on the Sky Bridge.
Years later, fans still trade SoundCloud links trying to relive it. The moment EDC’s big-room era and underground-house energy fully collided. 🌼 4. Marshmello + Tiësto Helmet Reveal - kineticFIELD, 2016
“Alone” had just exploded. Marshmello was still anonymous.
When Tiësto appeared wearing the helmet, it felt bigger than a guest appearance — a symbolic passing of the torch between EDM generations. 🌼 3. Drake w/ Metro Boomin Surprise - bassPOD, 2017
Drake performing “Jumpman,” “Gyalchester,” and “Fake Love” at peak More Life era.
The first true superstar rap crossover moment at EDC: proof the festival had evolved into something far beyond just EDM. 🌼 2. Above & Beyond + Bryan Cranston “Push the Button” - kineticFIELD, 2015
Bryan Cranston walked onstage to push the button during “Walter White.”
Breaking Bad mythology meets trance-era emotion in one of the most surreal crowd moments EDC has ever seen. 🌼 1. Eric Prydz “Opus” Debut - circuitGROUNDS, 2015
Months before the official release, EDC became the first place in the world to hear the finished version of “Opus.”
The exact moment long-form storytelling and emotional progression started overtaking pure festival bangers. Which moment do you think we missed?👇

Los Angeles’ most iconic venues: 8. Sound Nightclub (2013–Present)
Underground Hollywood institution founded by Kobi Danan, modeled after rooms like Fabric London. Pete Tong moved his All Gone Pete Tong residency here in 2014. Framework grew out of this room, later shutting down Hollywood Blvd in 2023 with Fisher x Chris Lake. 15,000 people in the street. 7. The Hollywood Bowl (1922–Present)
Kraftwerk 3-D (2016) transformed the venue with full visual immersion. Chemical Brothers (2010) brought big beat to the main stage. Above & Beyond Acoustic (2016) closed a global tour here. 6. Exchange LA (2010–Present)
Built inside the historic 1930 LA Stock Exchange. Ranked #1 on the West Coast by DJ Mag. A consistent home for Eric Prydz, Charlotte de Witte, Deadmau5, and Kaskade. 5. Avalon Hollywood (1927–Present)
From The Palace era in the 90s with Frankie Knuckles and Goldie to Sasha’s defining 2002 residency. A room that helped shape LA’s club culture. 4. LA Sports Arena (1959–2016)
Together As One drew 30,000–40,000 annually. Daft Punk’s Alive 2007 pyramid show became a defining moment for electronic music in America. 3. LA Memorial Coliseum (1923–Present)
EDC 2010 drew 185,000 people over two days. The largest electronic event in LA history. In 2024, Fred again.. played his first stadium show here. 2. The Shrine Auditorium (1906–Present)
Circa 92 drew 6,000 people. One of LA’s first arena raves. The first Electric Daisy Carnival launched here in 1997. 1. Jewel’s Catch One (1973–2015)
America’s first Black-owned disco and the first Black gay club in LA. Hosted Donna Summer, Whitney Houston, Sylvester, and Rick James. A space built in response to exclusion that became a cornerstone of Black and queer nightlife. This is the lineage we’re standing on. Did we miss any? Save this post for later 🖤
