About last weekend….baby goats, cows, so…many…flowers and….the sweetest wedding in Idaho. I had the honor of doing florals for my beautiful niece’s wedding and couldn’t help but put a little sneak peek together of the sweetest memories. Thanks to Andi and Shilo for helping sprinkle some whimsical flower magic in the woods, that was my favorite part 😍 @leviware I can’t wait to see the real wedding video because I definitely didn’t get enough on my phone. It’s a very special person’s birthday today. Please help us wish Kaydee Curbow, OUR VERY FIRST rockSTAR, a happy birthday!!! It all started back in 2010 with Kaydee Curbow, a then 11-year-old who was battling leukemia. Due to a compromised immune system, while receiving treatment in the hospital, she was unable to make it to her own benefit concert at the Lincoln Theatre in Mount Vernon, Washington being held in her honor and organized by a group of friends, including her elementary school teacher, Ryan Barci, and MCP Founders, Levi and Stephanie Ware. Instead of letting her miss it and miss feeling all the love and support in the room, Levi grabbed his laptop computer, tapped into open Wi-Fi and streamed the show directly to Kaydee in her hospital room. During the live concert, Levi would point at the computer and say “Kaydee, we’re all here thinking about you. You are not alone” then pick up the computer and have the whole crowd cheer for her. After the concert, Levi called Kaydee and her mom, Patti, in the hospital and they were both crying because “it meant so much to them.” Inspired by the idea that they could help more kids and families Levi and Stephanie Ware founded Melodic Caring Project with a simple but powerful mission using music and technology to help kids heal and break through the walls of isolation. Levi and Stephanie went on to host several more concerts— including an emotional homecoming show for Kaydee raising over $5,000 for her family’s medical expenses. By the end of 2011 they took a leap of faith, leaving their careers in construction and accounting to dedicate themselves fully to this growing vision. What started as one livestream concert for one family has grown into a movement impacting more than 57,000 patients and families around the world.
