I had a great time hiking around with this group on Saturday, sharing a bit about photography along the way.
This experience was especially cool because I first picked up a camera exactly 10 years ago, while roadtripping to Yosemite and back. Never would’ve thought 10 years later I’d be making a living with a camera, and teaching others how to use theirs.

This is my 4th year photographing this event, and as a blue hour / nighttime photography lover, it’s always so much fun.
I’ve always thought that having a model would be helpful - I usually gravitate toward candid, authentic moments, but needing to produce clean, crisp images in lowlight, no flash, and with moving subjects is something I don’t have time for 😭
Anyway, I’m thankful @carly.matthews lent me a bit of her time to help me capture these images and shout out @visitmacon for putting me on the job 🤘

I’m justtttt about wrapped up with these photos and I’m proud of what I was able to capture/create.
Each year, this photo assignment is one of my biggest, most involved (stressful), and most fun. What results is a collection of images that I hope inspires people to come visit this awesome city!
