Still frames from Fecked, a true story by Nathan Wedge. An important message about life with disabilities, chronic illnesses and a heartwarming reminder that love and friendship conquer all. We shot this 3:2 aspect ratio on the Arri Alexa 35 with Zeiss Supreme Radiance lenses. With the aim to create realism rather than the cinema experience.

Night scenes from Beat. Shooting at night certainly has its challenges. Not just creatively but practically too. We shot these scenes from midnight in a park with no street lamps. So it really was pitch black. Seeing other crew members, rigging lights and moving between locations becomes very disorientating. We also shot this on the shortest night of the year, so we had to be quick! Really happy with how these scenes turned out. Shot on Arri Alexa Mini, Lomo anamorphic lenses and Aputure 1200X and 600X to light.

Kate Expectations was something a little different for me. Lighting for a comedy that was on the more soapy side of what I'd done previously. It was great fun working with director Neil Alderton (Coronation Street), and actors Carl Loughlin, Tina Malone, Matt Wolfenden and John May.
Beat. A short film by @paulbroadie . Here are a few of my favourite frames. I'm very proud of this project. It was a great privilege to be trusted by Paul to help make this film; a story that is hugely personal to him.
Filmed on the Alexa Mini and Lomo anamorphic lenses.
Phenomenal performances from:
Ben - Jeffin Kunjumon
Liam - Kaya Moore
It was a fantastic collaborative effort from the crew, who all put in a lot of work to make this happen.

Frames from My Man: An Origin Story. Really pleased with how this turned out. Shot on Arri Alexa 35 and Xelmus anamorphic lenses. Written by Kenton Jordan Thomas and co-directed by Kenton and Jamie Swaby. We had an absolute blast shooting this on the mean streets of Bradford last summer. It's currently on its festival run.

#bts of our car rig for the film The Man In The Road. We drove away from the Sun to use it as a backlight whilst using the @thelightbridge CRLS to bounce light back into the car in a natural way. We also added a 1x1 panel on top of the car through the sunroof to add a consistent fill. Last shot is an example of the frame but by no means the final grade.
Really enjoyed working out the best way we could do this with the tools and budget we had. I also now own a load of suction mounts...

A quick look behind the scenes on my latest short; The Man In The Road. Directed by Jamie Swaby, starring Sheridan Sherratt, Kiara Kiandra, Jack Loy.
Towards the end of last year I desperately wanted to complete my 5 in 25 challenge of 5 shorts shot in the year. I was on number 4 and needed one more. So at the beginning of December I wrote a short thriller called The Man In The Road with the intention to produce it too. You know, a quick and simple one (HA!). In the end though, I had another opportunity to DOP a ready to go short called Livid (thanks to @davegalloway_ and @aaranmckenziefilms for that ❤️) so I completed my challenge.
But I still had The Man In The Road on my mind. So I went for it.
I'd worked with Jamie Swaby on My Man; An Origin Story and knew id love to work with him again as director. We assembled an incredible cast and crew and in the first week of January at -1⁰C we decended on a quiet country road in East Leeds. Check out the behind the scenes to see what we got up to...
I can't wait to show you what we made. It's currently in post. I'm still looking for a colourist and composer so if you know anyone who might be interested, get in touch.

Here's a mellow one for you. Some of my work as a DOP shooting commercials.
It's been an absolute pleasure working on these with the numerous talented producers and crew who make it happen. Can't thank you all enough.
Lets go get 2026! 👊
