Graham - Creator Project 2026. Graham, the creator behind @handymangraham , took an unexpected path to where he is today. Before 2020, he was enjoying his time in the world of specialty coffee, working for a high-end international hospitality company and thriving in the craft, culture, and equipment of the industry. When the pandemic brought everything to a halt, he used the opportunity to reassess his direction and leaned into skills he had developed through years of DIY home renovations. Starting with small handyman jobs on TaskRabbit, dipping his toes in the film industry’s grip department, a pivotal moment came when he met Alexandra Gater (@alexandragater ) - a successful YouTuber and interior designer, helping with her rental-friendly home makeover channel. Today, Graham has a growing channel (Handyman Graham) where he shares his passion for woodworking, up-cycling, and creative problem-solving. Graham is driven by growth and the challenge of making the most out of limited tools and overlooked materials. He specializes in transforming discarded furniture and lumber into unique, story-filled pieces while staying mindful of environmental impact. Outside the workshop, he’s an avid runner, always training for the next race (Strava or it didn’t happen) — and always looking forward to the next project.

Derrell has his sights set on the MMA circuit. I connected with Derrell over a year ago at the studio, we shot some portraits, then a year later Stephen and I spent a few days with him to try and illustrate Derrell’s mentality and his position right now in the kickboxing realm. @bridgebikeworks - Creator Project 2026. Frank Gairdner and Mike Yakubowicz of Bridge Bike Works. Proving high-performance bikes can be designed and manufactured right here in Toronto. Bridge was born from a shared passion for engineering, craftsmanship, and cycling by Frank Gairdner and Mike Yakubowicz. After building a career launching innovative manufacturing companies—including co-founding a company that developed the world’s first frictionless trigger and later creating carbon fibre powerboats— Frank, began searching for a venture where he could be both the builder and the end user. Cycling stood out, and the realization that almost no fully carbon fibre bike frames were being made in Canada sparked the opportunity. He soon partnered with Mike, a deeply respected figure in the cycling world and founder of Blacksmith Cycle, whose career has been dedicated to designing, building, and collaborating on some of the most celebrated bikes in the industry. The two connected quickly, sharing complementary skills and a belief that high-performance bikes could be designed, engineered, and built right here in Canada. The name Bridge was inspired by a 19th-century quote describing a bicycle frame as “a bridge on wheels,” capturing both the engineering philosophy and purpose behind their work. Today, Bridge focuses on doing things the hard way—bringing much of the design, composite manufacturing, and process development in-house—to deeply understand every step of building a better bike. Guided by a small team built on diligence, honesty, and hard work, Bridge is driven to prove that world-class bikes can be created locally while supporting Canadian manufacturing and the cycling community. Bridge seeks to prove to their team and supporters that they’ve done it. They’ve built the bike and will continue to do so. The Creator Projects aims to highlight and document small businesses and creative people in the Toronto community.
