Shooting analog has had a resurgence but people are finding it expensive. It is. It’s never stopped me and has been central to our work for years.
But personally it’s never made more sense financially ever.
Costs of sd cards - on the up
Cost of ssd - tripled in a month.
A direct consequence of AI.
And do you know what AI CANNOT do and will NEVER DO. shoot film, or even come close to replicate it, let alone create gorgeous tangible celluloid negs.
So with the $$ argument going out, in my opinion, more than ever, film has never felt so good.

Beth and Dylan have built something really special here, Beth designed the interiors and even hand makes the pottery you eat off, while Dylan (dietician & chef) created the whole menu and trained the kitchen team… and trust me, you can taste it. 🤤
All while raising their beautiful family here too... It’s one of those places where you can feel the love in every single detail.
It’s one of my favourite places, and somewhere I know I’ll keep coming back to. Maybe one day with my own little family too 🤍
Summer might be on its way out to New Zealand; but really it’s a state of mind and you can choose to keep it going.

There is no hiding that the pressure on creatives has increased: to be able to create both quality images but also videos for clients, whether for campaigns and for weddings has never been so critical.
And oftentimes, you have to produce incredible quality on a skeleton crew; so having that huge mindset shift (and learning curve) to be able and feel confident to offer both can really set you up for success.
I am really excited to be speaking at @photogearnz in partnership with @sonyalphanz on the 25 of March about the hybrid mindset; and how offering both at the highest level has really contributed to a beautiful career so far.
So if you are looking to turn that camera to video mode, I’d say join us for a fun evening. -

Happy birthday (a day late) to my bestie, my brother from another mother, and the best second shooter I could have hoped for. From photographing your wedding to my other bestie @sigolene_ , becoming fast friends, travelling the world for work (and fun), many a night talking and laughing, and now seeing your kids & Axel grow up together, you are one hell of a gift.
There are some goodies amongst those photos, beautiful moments with Sigo, and some fun times on the job. I feel very lucky to have you as a friend, and as some kind of little brother. Love you, Sigo, and the girls so much. Happy birthday @timotheemirabaud
15 years since one crazy yes with the biggest ripple effect;15 years of adventures, travels, heartaches, epic fun, too many laughs to count, many countries visited, a few cats, one child that we got to keep, and so many incredible memories already. And so many more to come.
We certainly look older (me mostly), we certainly feel more tired, but I know we are certainly not done yet adventuring, and laughing, and making memories; with Axel in tow.
15 years start to feel significant but it’s been significant from day one, really.
Let’s go for 15 more & beyond; and maybe some updated photos if anyone ever manages to put me confidently in front of a camera.

How do you celebrate one of your besties in a few words on a milestone birthday?
Rach - you are one of those magnetic people that everyone just wants to hang out with and I get to be one of those people - your energy is unexplainable but it shows through the people lucky enough to know you. You are a fierce, talented, and inspiring photographer and a loyal and strong mother and friend.
We have had 10 years of an epic, intentional friendship that has seen us both grow so much.
10 years of being one of my favourite humans to photograph and one of my very first friends to give Axel the cutest cuddles (see last photo for a proof).
Love you friend. Long time. And big time. I may not be a MTB rider but luckily we still have photography to geek over and the fact you still to this day claim I’m the only photographer who can take a good photo of you (vanity claim right here, for me!)
As much as I love the mountains, I think I will always be a tropical island kinda girl.
And here I am, reminiscing of this incredible sunset in Guadeloupe, shot on film.
