@lemile is less of a magazine and more like a carefully crafted photography and fashion book. So you can imagine my reaction when the inquiry came in: to shoot a cover for the “Identity” issue, with none other than the iconic face of the 90's fashion scene - an artist, writer and activist @waris.dirie For this story, my idea was to tap back into her modeling days - to revisit that raw energy that defined an era of fashion. Stripping things back, focusing on presence, strength, and identity. A continuation. Working with Waris was exactly what you’d hope for and more - sharp, present, and deeply aware. A true legend, in every sense.
