As my second year as a professional Steadicam and camera operator comes to a close, I’ve been taking time to reflect on how far this journey has brought me. This year introduced me to some incredible people, friends, collaborators, and artists whose talent and passion continue to inspire me. Being trusted to help support their stories and visions through camera and Steadicam work is something I will always hold dear. I’m thankful for every opportunity, every long day, every challenge, and every moment that pushed me to grow. I’m proud of the work I’ve put in and appreciate those who believed in me along the way. Throughout it all, I’m grateful for the path I’ve been given and the strength to walk it. To everyone who shared a set, offered guidance, or gave me a chance, thank you. As the first year of Steadicam and Camera Operating comes to a close, I wanted to make an appreciation post and update you all on the journey I have been on lately! The transition from 1st A.C. to Steadicam and Camera Operator has not been an easy one. It has required a lot of tuning of my skills, dedication, and perseverance. However, I truly love the process and appreciate each and everyone who has believed in me and trusted me with their projects. It truly means the world to me. I have truly found something that I love and am so fortunate and blessed to be able to collaborate with you all to help tell the best stories possible. Thank you to everyone who has shown me and guided me on the art of Steadicam and Camera Operating. It is truly something I will never forget! I truly have come a long way from when I first picked up a Steadicam and it’s all thanks to you all. I thank God everyday for the health and ability to do what I do and don’t take it for granted and am excited for what the next year holds! And of course thank you to my family for always supporting and believing in me. You show me that anything is possible and to never give up on your dreams and I am forever grateful for that.
