Taking @evergreen_threads encouragement of #batchsewing beyond my business to my personal sews. I refreshed my #athleisurewear for the #ffsewfitjan challenge from @fabricandflow this month - I took one day to cut and sew my fave leggings, a #freepdf from @rivetpatterns and used an array of athletic #fabric bases and then went with the @petitestitchery Pax top for a second day of batch cut and sews - these styles work best for me deadlifting - the bottoms are high enough to add my belt so it wont be sitting on my skin while I recently discovered the Pax is the perfect strap style and angle for my right shoulder to recover. I also add a layer of mesh or swim liner in between the bra top main and shelf bra for added support. Best part is I can use most of the tops for swimsuits tops this summer too! I love multifunctional pieces for my #memadewardrobe

Introducing the WHOLE ROLL TOTE PDF by @bellemoreboutique - This tote is my FIRST EVER clear vinyl project. Clear vinyl has always been a bit intimidating to me. I had purchased some from @jredwardstextiles but just held onto it. Then, it happened. I moved forward with using it. This pattern felt less intimidating to try with clear vinyl bc it also allowed to coordinate fabric bases with it which I am very familiar with. There is so much room for creativity and embellishment. I used vinyls for the exterior, WPC canvas and woven on the lining. I loved that I could print all the pieces and use a measurement chart, (yes, I like having both options in a pattern to reference!). The step by step instructions took me through each step with accompanying photos to further assist. Now I need to make a matching Mini!

I needed a FAST #sew for photos with a new bag pattern releasing from @ellieandmac_patterns soon I’ll be sharing all about and let me tell you, I can pull out a Be Captivating dress in about an hour. I did do one modification, and that is to scoop out the back. My own cut, no mash up. I grabbed my printed copy and cut this in no time in a cream speckled French Terry. I’m so glad I went for it. I had this belt for years in my closet and it was like I just found my new favorite accessory. The perfect piece to kick off my spring wardrobe. One of my most favorite #fabric thrifts - this tablecloth. I saw it week after week at the local thrift so I grabbed it! I waited for just the right pattern opportunity to use it and found the @ellieandmac_patterns Zara Square Neck Blouse paired with the Feel Pretty Shorts and Pants Patterns were exactly what I had been looking for! The Zara Top offers a sleeveless option and is designed for wovens. It offers a timeless neckline with bust and waist darts for a flattering silhouette. I prefer the high hip length, particularly with the Feel Pretty Shorts and the waistband detailing. I didn’t add pockets. Sometimes I’m just too excited to see the finish and want to forgo the few minutes to add them lol. I was able to salvage just enough of the tablecloth, (a few stained spots to cut around) to make the top and shorts. I did have to piece a bit to make the front and back of the top. I love the finished set! What do you think?? Do you thrift? Did I mention…the latest release from @ellieandmac_patterns - the Suzie Tieback can be made in a top or dress version and you bet I can never pass up adding pockets. One of the things I love about this pattern is the pockets are designed and stitched to be completely unnoticeable. They flow beautifully with the skirting style. This is my original dress from testing in bamboo lycra and SO COMFORTABLE. I love the ease of how this design comes together. @lafinchfabrics_new - a bit of a different stretch and feel then the other I made in bamboo knit, however I needed to see this print as this tieback style! I love the options for sleeved or sleeveless styling. The empire or natural waistline finish gives more possibilities, and of course there are options for finished length like peplum top, mid length thigh or above knee dress. As always, pockets are an option!

Meet the Lady Ayla Bag pdf pattern - the latest release by @janie_bags
This chic design offers a stylish look you can make with a blended combination of textiles in different textures and colors or keep it simple and choose one. So many possibilities. I decided to use a faux snakeskin vinyl from @luvlolalooks for my first bag. I love how easily the vinyl takes the interfacing, the sheen, quality, (mistakes were made and this vinyl allowed me to unpick and retry), as well as the luxury of stitching it with domestic machines. It really added to the look of this bag and I was able to use remnant pieces of faux leather for the sides. I finished the design with @wawaksewing zipper tape and pull. This style pool allows you to make your own zip pull and I’m completely here for it, using every last scrap of vinyl 💛. What I love most about this bag is how spacious it is and that the bag can take you from casual to glamorous night out offering a stunning silhouette.

Easing into a week off with my kids with the Unwind Set, the latest release from @georgeandgingerpatternco - the set includes a one shoulder bra style and shorts, (yes, with pockets).
