70 YEARS, NOTHING CHANGES. NOW ITâS OUR TIME FOR ACTION.
Over seventy years ago, the UN Convention on the Status of Stateless Persons was introduced, a historic and essential foundation to protect the rights of stateless individuals worldwide.
The convention follows three main goals:
1. To ensure fundamental human rights for stateless people.
2. To provide structures that enable the exercise of those rights.
3. To improve the status and lives of stateless people.
Yet seventy years later, little has changed.
Millions of stateless individuals remain without recognition, safety, or access to their most basic rights. We cannot wait another 70 years!
STATELESS CHANGE STARTS WITH A MOVEMENT.
Stateless change happens when we unite, when voices are shared and amplified, and when we become louder and more visible.
Through this campaign, weâve created a platform to highlight the ongoing struggles and stories of stateless individuals while demanding urgent action.
Join the movement and share your story with us.

70 Years, 70 Voices: Our Call for Change!
For centuries, stateless people have been denied access to basic rights, excluded from legal protection and left without safety or a place to call home.
Today, millions of people around the world remain stateless, living on the margins of society, their voices and struggles rendered invisible. The â70 Years, 70 Voicesâ campaign was created to address this ongoing injustice. Statelessness is not inevitable. It is man-made, state-made, rooted in discriminatory policies, outdated laws, and systemic neglect.
â70 Years, 70 Voicesâ is a call for change and an urgent reminder that the right to basic rights and belonging is fundamental. We aim to empower stateless individuals by providing a platform for their stories to be heard, amplifying their voices to challenge the systems that perpetuate exclusion.
Raising awareness is essential to highlight the structural failures that sustain statelessness, urging governments to act with accountability and uphold their commitments to equality and justice. It also seeks to inspire dialogue and action, bringing policymakers, civil society, and organizations together to prioritize solutions and take groundbreaking steps.
Stateless change starts with a movement.

đą What is our new Guide to Collaborative Advocacy? And how will it help stateless changemakers engage in advocacy?
Stateless people often tell us they feel absent from advocacy spaces. They want to know how to lead and engage in meaningful collaborative advocacy and to promote advocacy spaces that respect and value lived expertise.
In response, @enstatelessness@statefree.world and @apatride.network have jointly developed a Guide to Collaborative Advocacy on Statelessness.
đ Watch our video to find out more, and download the Guide from our linktree.
