How do you protect a hospital from future storms and sea level rise without separating it from the surrounding community?
At Metropolitan Hospital in Manhattan, we helped turn nearly a half mile of flood protection into an innovative urban barrier, featuring aesthetic design elements like glass tile murals, plantings, and custom fencing—all to make the flood wall more welcoming.
The project received a Platinum Award in the 2026 ACEC New York Engineering Excellence Awards.
Our videographer, Philippe Roulston, travelled to Tisdale, Saskatchewan for a behind-the-scenes look at how our Power Delivery teams are helping utility clients strengthen the electrical grid and support growing communities.
Miraj, program manager with our transmission and distribution engineering team, is helping rebuild aging transmission lines and deliver future-ready power systems across Saskatchewan.
Curious what a day in Miraj’s world looks like? Stay tuned for the full video on our social channels.

As #WorldLandscapeArchitectureMonth comes to a close, we’d like to shine light on Battery Bluff Park out of San Francisco, in Presidio National Park.
In one of the country’s most visited national parks- Battery Bluff Park’s recent landscape reconstruction strengthens connections between history, habitat, and how people move through the Presidio in San Francisco.
Our collaboration with the Presidio Trust focused on healing the landscape, creating a 6-acre park that honors its military past while serving a sustainable future. We meticulously enhanced the site’s historic character, ensuring its place as a contributing feature to a National Register of Historic Places landscape.
This project brought history back to light by revealing four historic batteries that had been hidden since 1936. Now functioning as a vibrant public space, the park serves as a premier destination where thousands of visitors gather to explore recovered history and enjoy unparalleled vistas of the Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco Bay.
Cornerstone Fire Station 38 is a community landmark serving Calgary’s growing northeast region. This 24/7 station was designed in close collaboration with the Calgary Fire Department to support faster response times, efficient operations, and firefighter wellbeing.
Our design team created a contextual massing that blends with nearby homes while establishing a prominent street presence. Public features, including the mass timber colonnade, make the building a visible landmark and welcoming community hub.
Targeting LEED Gold and built to be zero‑carbon ready, the station reflects strength, sustainability, and care for the first responders and the community they serve.

We’re excited to be celebrating another World Landscape Architecture Month! To kick things off this year, we’re sharing photos from our award-winning work on the Place de l’Hôtel-de-Ville Public Square Renovation in Quebec City—a historic hotel and park plaza dating back to the 1600s. Our team helped redesign the square, adding more space for pedestrians and large-scale events while preserving its historical character.
