im incredibly honoured to announce that my directoral debut “Red String” has won at the Academy® recognized @flickerfest for “Best Editing in a Youth Short Film” winning $1.3K and a two year subscription to AVID editing software.
we made this film in one day with the most amazing team possible while also being a international film with zero english dialogue.
as a person born by immigrant parents and as a poc, winning means more than just a moment of happiness but a hope and a dream for more poc to do creative fields and for younger filmmakers to create and to try for their dreams. i hope if anything, everyone aims to create more and to make their creative projects come true and to always, always keep their dream real.

i consider red string to be my first actual short film and to be able to do this shot in one day, with the most amazing team i could ask for was incredible. this is just a beginning for all of us and every single incredible person deserves the flowers. look out for us, thank you.
