🌟At 5:30pm, catch the Best of International Shorts programme, packed with exceptional, award winning films fresh from their Australian premiers in Bondi, including recent Oscar winner ‘The Singers’
🏁 Then at 8:00pm, don’t miss the Best of Australian Shorts, featuring the powerful and deeply personal docudrama ‘Return of the Champ’ by Toowoomba born and raised comedian Damien Power. Shot around Toowoomba , the film follows Damien and his world champion racing driver brother Will Power as they confront a long-buried sibling rivalry in the aftermath of a traumatic crash.
Also screening are standout Australian shorts starring the likes of Hugo Weaving, Kat Stewart, Colin Lane and Peter Phelps and more, all part of a stellar line up celebrating bold local storytelling.

🎬 Huskisson film friends, we’re excited to share that Illawarra filmmaker Michael Chrisoulakis will be joining us for a Q&A after the screening of best Australian Shorts handpicked from our recent competition on Saturday 16 May @huskissonpictures .
Michael’s short ‘Alfredo’ is a beautifully relatable family dramedy starring Fiona Press (Packed to the Rafters) and Francis Greenslade (Shaun Micallef’s Mad as Hell), and we can’t wait for audiences to hear more about the making of the film and the stories behind it.
