Photos from fashion show day! My look was inspired by Coprinus comatus, or the "Shaggy Mane" mushroom. In nature, they are white and black, but in the Enchanted Forest, they're white and purple 🦄🪻🪼🦌🍄🟫🍃✨️. And they have an attitude, so watch your step 😤
Everything on this costume (except the shoes) was designed and hand crafted by me! I patterned the corset from scratch to fit my model (gorgeous, ethereal, baddie 🤌🏻) @candice__alice . I made a collapsing inner structure for the enormous hat which allowed it to pack flat into a suitcase, I knitted (and then partially destroyed) the sweater, I beaded the belt and the bobbles on the hat, and I patchworked the skirt (and hat) from thrifted clothing.
I think it's kind of poetic that I made a mushroom outfit by decomposing and reusing discarded materials... very saprotrophic of me. Wish I had thought of that beforehand so I could claim it was part of the concept but the truth is I came by it honestly 😂 you guys know I love a patchwork moment 🪡

Photodump from day 1 of @girliesgetaway ! I had so much fun being the 🌸Girlies Gnome🌸 hehe. All the Girlies who came to hang out with me were so wonderful and made such beautiful whimsical pendants 🤩. This flower hat was a total experiment and I'm so pleased with how it turned out! I'll definitely be wearing it to ren faire or like... grocery shopping idk. Anyway... a big huge enormous thank you to my CUTIE mouse assistant and phone photography wizard @lazulicos 🐭✨️

More Serval! I'm not caught up on Star Rail (I like, JUST beat Nikador) and I don't have everybody to level 80 yet but I'm at the point where I don't usually run Serval anymore because she just doesn't do enough damage 🥲 but as I was doing Jarilo-vi side quests I noticed a couple of details I ran out of time to add to this cosplay (like... all of her jewelry lol) so hopefully I'll remember to do that before I wear her again! I also need to uhhh fix my guitar which I'm hoping just means a new battery but I'll be honest I haven't touched it since I brought it home from Katsu so I actually don't know 😅
Are you guys pulling for the Elation characters? I've seen some very divided opinions about that path... I don't know if I mind it but I prefer the paths that correlate more clearly to actual roles and they kinda broke that with Rememberance so idk what we're doing now 😂

I had SO much fun in this cosplay. There are plenty of things I'd like to fix/add as always but I'm really proud of how it came together for this con and I had the best bird I could have asked for @sarahspaceman you really blow me away 👉🏻😎👉🏻
(Last slide is the last time we cosplayed together which was somehow 8?! years ago and I stood on a chair so that Sarah could edit it to look like I was floating and I would say BABIES except we were fully adults back then too and let's never stop playing pretend)

// I wasn't sure I was going to bring Serval to Katsucon because this wig needed to be repaired but I didn't have any other ideas and I've only worn her once, so I grabbed all the pieces and threw her in my bag and I'm so glad I did??? Because the outside of the Gaylord with all its brick walls, partially covered in snow, was so Belobog I couldn't have asked for a better backdrop. Also if spending money on honkai star rail means Serval could buy a coat I'm gonna have to start doing that because she is so naked to live in a frozen city and we know her shop doesn't make any money so
