Progress over perfection.
It might not look might much but Iām getting better each day. Getting stronger each day.
2.5 months working on this handstand variation.
I have better control. Can actually hold my hips up for longer than a split second. My shoulder to hip stack is better.
Need to work on strengthening my hips more to get that final leg snap up. But Iāll get there.
The point is donāt compare your chapter 1 to someone elseās chapter 12. Perfect example. My sister and I have been working on this same move together. She got it yesterday, I didnāt. But she has also been working and perfecting her handstand for years. Me, I just started 6 months ago trying to learn how to do a handstand. Sheās also much longer out of postpartum than I am. So again, give yourself grace and donāt compare to otherās. Even to your prior self.
Second point is to focus on the progress. Not perfection. Iām stronger, more controlled and holding it longer before failed than I was 2 months ago.
