👩🏼‍🌾 @sokmaairu 🧑🏻‍🌾 @ka_sing_ 🧑🏻‍🌾 @akyw22 🪰 @gilbertho_hk 🪲 @dicksonwcc 🌾 @monti_lai 🍚 @kanatinq 🧶 @lantau_connects 📮 @lomfafair 🐜 @mimi_chenyingching 🪕 @chanwfat 🪈 @a0000000.0bunn 📽️ @sqlai 🎙️ @wong_hin_yan 𐡙𐡚𐡘 𐡙𐡚𐡘 𐡚𐡘 𐡙 𐡘 𐡙 𐡚 𐡙𐡚𐡘

《I Can Hear You》藝術企劃 定焦:在藝術發生之前 對每位藝術家而言,「駐留」都有著截然不同的意義。

Very recently was the awards ceremony for The Hari Art Prize Hong Kong 2026. The warm atmosphere of such a great turn-out was perfect to celebrate the current generation of Hong Kong’s emerging artists. Our greatest congratulations go to the winner Man Mei To and runner’s-ups Ailsa Wong and Katrina Leigh Mendoza Raimann who dazzled the judges with the calibre of their work. We’d also like to thank the judging panel for their time and expertise in helping us pick the shortlist and finalists. The shortlisted artists have their work exhibited around The Hari Hotel which we encourage you to visit. And finally we want to thank everyone who submitted this year, showcasing just how unique the art scene in Hong Kong is. We can’t wait to see what you all bring next year. #thehariartprize #artprize #contemporaryart

During Art Basel Hong Kong week, @ryuta_aoki_ spoke at the "Artificial Flavor" talk series organized by Society Art Technology Asia (SATA) @sata_info . Founded by @foreseen_agency , (@flyingpig.shan & @kachi_chan ), SATA functions as a platform for the transfer, preservation, and activation of knowledge across Asia—much like the SATA standard in computing. In this session, Ryuta joined Hong Kong artist @sqlai and moderator @manling_lily to discuss the theme "Post Ecosystem: Anthropogenic Interference." Ryuta introduced his project "Alternative Computations," which explores Wasan mathematics through quantum computing, and his bio-sculptures made from 3D-printed soil. By bridging digital data and cultural knowledge, the discussion aligned with SATA’s mission to keep creativity and innovation dynamic and impactful. 📍 101080 HHH, Hong Kong 🗓 March 28, 2026 🔗 /events/artificial-flavor-panel-talk-5/

Although we no longer depends on rice farming in Hong Kong, we still had a long history of cultivating rice. This is a really nice project recording Hong Kong's rice. The project lasted for 10 years, recorded every detail about every breed of rice they planted. But it is coming to the end now... Not sure if it will continue, yet I hope more HK people will come to see this exhibition!

Recap of our panel talk in 𝓐𝓻𝓽𝓲𝓯𝓲𝓬𝓲𝓪𝓵 𝓕𝓵𝓪𝓿𝓸𝓻 ✨ For the fifth session of our series, ‘Post Ecosystem: Anthropogenic Interference,’ we gathered a group to explore the boundaries between human labor and the natural world. Moderated by Man Ling Wong Lily (@manling_lily ), the conversation featured Hong Kong artist Lo Lai Lai Natalie (@sqlai ) and Tokyo-based curator and artist Ryuta Aoki (@ryuta_aoki_ ) for an exploration into how we might reimagine nature beyond Western-centric ideals. The dialogue flowed beautifully from Natalie’s decade of experience as a farmer-artist, where the physical act of "waiting and making" serves as a form of resistance, to Ryuta’s revival of 19th-century Japanese Wasan mathematics as a tool for modern quantum computing. We delved into how bio-sculptures and soundscapes can reveal the hidden tensions of our environment, ultimately discovering how art allows us to collaborate with "more-than-human" agencies. It was a profound reminder that by deconstructing fixed systems, we can begin to see the intelligence of the ecology surrounding us. 🖥 The full version of panel talk highlights are available on our website - Link in bio Thank you to everyone who joined us to discuss the intersection of art, technology, and community. Stay tuned for more recaps from our Artificial Flavor series! 💫

《I Can Hear You》跨域對話實驗室 以藝術為引,實踐跨領域知識的共生與轉譯 藝術家的創作靈感往往源於對日常最細微的觀察:既可以是高山流水的壯闊絢麗,也可以是人與人之間一次偶然的有趣互動。
