Day 1 NYC First stop, Sotheby’s to see the preview for the Impressionist and Modern sale, followed by a must-see stop at Di Donna Galleries to experience Salvador Dalí: The Great Years, 1929–1939 — an extraordinary look at one of the artist’s most inventive periods. Then on to my favorite fair, TEFAF New York, filled with exciting discoveries an seeing so many dear friends. Ending the day with the perfect dinner at East Pole with two of my favorites, Jen and Max. Perfect day. @sothebys @didonnagalleries @tefaf #chagall #dali #miro #caillebotte #albers

An incredibly moving exhibition by Lorna Simpson at Punta della Dogana. The resonant sound of the singing bowls against her monochrome portraits and glacial landscapes evokes ICE and its many historical and contemporary layers. The works feel both ethereal and deeply grounded, linking past and present in a way that is hauntingly relevant. One of the most powerful exhibitions in Venice. It was super special to have the chance to meet the artist while visiting the show. @palazzo_grassi @lornasimpson #venicebiennale2026

Opening day at the Venice Biennale began with the Big Chief Demond Melancon whose transportive rhythms invited the audience into a powerful collective experience rooted in ancestry, ritual, and the earth. The rain came down, but it didn’t stop the crowd. The spirit of Mardi Gras intertwined with echoes of Native American ceremony, setting a deeply soulful tone for the Biennale. #venicebiennale2026 #BigChief #DemondMelancon #inminorkeys @marianeibrahimgallery @ddotpalmer

Such a joy to bring these girls along for a full day of art. They were all in from start to finish — beginning with a special studio visit with @sharonaluma.art , followed by a visit to see Art and Life in Rembrandt’s Time: Masterpieces from The Leiden Collection exhibition at the @nortonmuseumofart , and ending the night at the @bocamuseum opening to celebrate @typos ’ solo show. Grateful for their curiosity, energy, and openness to seeing the world through art.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, I’m honoring the visionary women artists who helped expand the cultural dialogue and challenged the structures that historically excluded women’s voices from the canon. Through bold ideas, radical performances, political activism, and groundbreaking imagery, these artists reshaped the conversation around identity, power, representation, and authorship in art. Their work opened doors for generations of artists who followed and continues to inspire the way we see, think, and engage with contemporary culture today. Grateful for the courage, creativity, and persistence of these pioneers. “What if Women Ruled the World?” judychicago @guerrillagirls @cindysherman @marybethadelson @yayoikusama @caroleeschneemann @faithringgold @anamendietaartist #greatwomenartists #InternationalWomensDay #WomenInArt #WomenArtists #CaroleeSchneemann
