A few more beautiful faces from the feature I shot last spring.
Can't wait for people to see all the work and love put into this little movie. Looking at these now, I have no idea how we got so much movie done with a total crew fluxuating between 4-8. While it was wonderful being hands on with every aspect of the image, I doubt I'll be able to replicate this again. A very singular project that I'm very grateful for.

New Work!!
Had the privilege of shooting a very personal short "The Invite" and couldn't wait for proper color to get these out.
Mixed the mundane and dream-like to tell this story about being called to share your true self. There's a community out there waiting to accept us and I loved being able to help make something that expresses such a positive message.
Used a lot of portrait framing to get the audience into an intimate space with non-binary characters. Also had fun playing with a homemade diffraction filter to add some symbolic rainbows in the mix

New Work! Finally sharing work from my first feature film as a DP!
I always knew I wanted my first feature to be a queer action rom-com and my dreams came true. Can't wait for everyone to see all the action and primary color glory. This little team did way more than we should have been able to and I already miss seeing them every day.

Capturing people capturing the fleeting sounds of Autumn at night. Sprinkler sputtering, pools gurgling, leaves streaking the concrete. Can't wait for people to see and hear what @musicbycloud has done with this project.

Enter the sensual labyrinth of a late night cornfield orgy. @musicbycloud had a really fun time making this gentle, voyeuristic and generally disorienting this sequence.
Can't wait for people to peep at the real thing, y'all aren't ready for a hot and heavy corn sequence.
It got all sorts of surreal and silly shooting this last short "Buddy" with @ryan_mcglade .
Keeping our creativity alive, Ryan came up with a project where we could all feel safe, have a good time and make some art. Just a fat zoom vintage zoom and some locations we probably, maybe shouldn't have been at.
Too bad the stills can't show you those slow and smooth zooms. Gotta wait for the finished film.

Shot this short narrative about a year ago (seems like way longer though). It's about two women from different generations who find communicating difficult and learn that way play can be the best way to connect.
I had a great time trying to find the subtleties around rendering the face and color to help play out this family drama visually.

Another installment of frames from my winter project with @musicbycloud
Feeling the color mixing in these night interiors. So much of tone control is done through color and I'm really happy with the mysterious/playful look we landed on here. Can't wait to do more of this rich narrative work!

Really happy with the way this little scene turned out. The garage we shot in was gorgeous and made the whole thing easy (Lahann's Auto!). Was able to play some proper movie moon light through those beautiful windows, such a treat to be able to do something big like that without a huge crew.
