(Tuesday) June 25th, 2024 — a nice day for a long walk in the city.

She drank the medicine, a slippery black soapy substance oozing from a worn cup. As the last drop trickled down her throat, she began to feel it move... Curling and slithering in the depths of her belly. How was she to know that her own children would be responsible for her poisoning? They had dabbled too closely to the death realms, and had begun feeding on the dead. A confusing notion when sunlight gave enough food for all, she thought. The snakes had begun to grow, multiply in threads and electrical circuitry, weaving like virus through her blood. She knew the medicine was strong, but at this point there was no turning back- the only way out was through. She surrendered to the squirm until finally in a volcanic eruption, the poison emerged from her body- 10,000 wires ripping and wriggling through her mouth. Waste, cables, batteries, and vapes… Your addiction to the screen, to machine, to death… Christ-like she had made herself a vessel for your sins, to draw it out of you and spit it back to the darkness from hence it came… it might take decades, perhaps centuries, to clear the waste - but the earth mother has fought hard battles before. GREECE - JULY 2024 was a trip of a lifetime. In some ways it doesn’t even feel like it really happened, or that we’re not still over there. Perhaps it’s still too recent to fully process the beauty and awe of it all, but I’m stoked to have brought a whopping 4 cameras with me to help document as best I could. I ended up shooting more rolls of film in the two weeks I was there than I had shot in the past two years combined. Feels like I’m finally getting somewhere with a body of work that I’m proud of & eager to share on the grid. Figured now’s as good a time as any to start trickling out some of my favorite captures, slowly but surely. Porches - “Itch” — Some lighting setup BTS and 35mm stills I snapped while gaffing the hot new Porches video back in March in upstate New York. A lot of fun was had on this one with the homies. And to the poor souls who were staying at The Holiday Inn Express the night we rolled into town with our motley crew, drinking cases of beer in the lobby til the wee hours of the early morning, until we got kicked out so they could start setting up for breakfast lol, my condolences… . . .
