At the kind invitation of Randy and Kristy Pitchford, the owners of the Magic Castle, and Erika Larsen, whose family created the Magic Castle, Mike Elizalde and the Spectral team built this feature and recently installed it. The infinite wine cellar, the entirety of which occupies a mere three feet wide by three feet high by two feet deep space. This was insanely fun to build, and a tremendous honor to have included in the Castle’s legacy. Thanks Randy, Kristy, and Erika, and thanks to the intrepid Spectral Motion team for their support!
For this past Super Bowl, Spectral Motion was challenged with the task of creating two full size PEPSI Polar Bear costumes for media appearances in both New York and San Francisco. Our team accomplished this assignment in record time, and even fabricated custom fleece jackets, signature jumpsuits, and a gold medallion necklace for the bears!
HERE BE WITCHES… To celebrate the Halloween season, we present a collection of classic witches created by Spectral Motion for the Tommy Wirkola film HANSEL & GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS. It was pure joy for us at Spectral to reimagine the classic witch archetypes! Happy Halloween Everyone!
An icon of the makeup community has passed on. Academy Award winner, and esteemed colleague Michèle Burke leaves a very big empty space in our hearts. We are all deeply saddened here at Spectral Motion. Rest in peace, dear Michèle.
Just in time for the Halloween Season, we present a flashback to SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK presented by Guillermo del Toro and directed by the wonderful Andre Ovredal. This was a dream project for Spectral Motion as we were presented with the challenge of translating the haunting watercolor illustrations of Stephen Gammell into physical creatures and makeups.
