Let's start with orientations. We have bow tie, rhombus, mountain, & boombox. I've shown just a few examples of what these orientations can look like.

Next are a few positions. Unlike orientations, positions are very precise; I hit these positions at the start and end of each lil clip. As you can see, "triangle" transitions nicely from mountain and boombox. "Star" & "quadrangle" transition nicely from bowtie & rhombus. Then I show one way to get into "web".

"Symmetry Sliders" (last vid in this post) are a fun way to play with orientations! Very triangle! 📐

Note that even though I demonstrate all of these concepts holding the triangles by the corners, you of course don't have to. All of these concepts can be explored with any kind of grip. Next gooptorial topic: grips!

About a year ago in 2024 I got to share this triangle routine in the @kineticfireretreat gala showcase! 🤯🥹
Musicality was a huge priority when I made this act. It was meticulously choreographed to the song "Apophenia" by the amazing @mrbillstunes , which left no room for error, so it was a relief when I pulled it off with most of the precision that I wanted! Getting inspired by music is so much fun and is one of my favorite things about flow arts :)

So many thoughts and feels about this. I've been going to Tipper shows since January 2015, and these events have been a huge part of my life for over 10 years. That's even longer than I've been doing flow arts (June 2025 will mark 10 years of flow for me)! This oddball community has held me through so many different phases of life and versions of myself ✨
I've been at every T&F event at Suwannee, and I'm so grateful to be part of the remembrance ceremonies for this final chapter.
