Spacecraft is delighted to be part of Creating A Legend for Limerick, opening at LSAD next Thursday from 6–8pm.
This unique exhibition features a series of hand-printed flags, each representing one of 30 organisations across Limerick. We’re proud to have been selected, with Spacecraft brought to life through its own flag also featured on the interactive map at www.legendforlimerick.ie.
Using screen printing as a creative vehicle, the project highlights the communities, creativity, and connections that shape the city.
We’re honoured to be included alongside so many vital cultural organisations in Limerick. A huge thank you to the organisers for bringing this together and for including Spacecraft.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for April’s Artist Meet Up at @thegafflimerick .
It was great to welcome new faces this month. Special thanks to painter Jacek Kaludzinski and filmmaker and dancer Anastasia Lapko for sharing their work and insights at the start of the evening.
Over the past few months, it’s been great to learn more about artistic practice in Limerick.

Spacecraft will attend SUPERMARKET Art Fair in Stockholm for the second time this year showcasing works by three artist members honouring the changes of land and of body felt now at the transition out of spring towards summer during Bealtaine.
Introducing the third of the three artists;
Angela Vaughan is an artist based in Limerick, Ireland. Through a developed meditative and art making practice, Angela uses the language of painting to create sacred moments within the daily routine of contemporary life.
As part of her presentation at SUPERMARKET Angela Vaughan explores rituals tied to the Aos Sí or fairy people of Ireland’s folklore. Her work provides a place to approach ritual acts of intention for the everyday.
Spacecraft’s attendance is made possible by the support of Culture Ireland and Limerick Arts Office.

Introducing the second of the three artists;
Sibéal Riordan is an Irish artist based and from Limerick, Ireland. She works mainly through the mediums of photography & printmaking. Her work is inspired by Irish history, mythology, feminism and our relationship with the natural landscape.
As part of her presentation at SUPERMARKET Sibéal Riordan uses recurring dreams in her prints to suggest that nature may hold memories in much the way we do. Repeated motifs through the work act as echoes amongst the pattern, tracing a question of the changing landscapes of nature and memory.
Spacecraft’s attendance is made possible by the support of Culture Ireland and Limerick Arts Office.

Spacecraft will attend SUPERMARKET Art Fair in Stockholm for the second time this year showcasing works by three artist members honouring the changes of land and of body felt now at the transition out of spring towards summer during Bealtaine.
Introducing the first of the three artists;
Theo Hynan-Ratcliffe is a writer, sculptor and arts worker from Co. Clare, currently based in Limerick city, Ireland. Her practice weaves sculpture and fiction together, engaging with the entanglements of identity and place, human and more-than-human relations and ecological concerns, drawing upon methodologies of casting, story-telling and contemporary forms of ritual.
Through her installation at SUPERMARKET Theo Hynan-Ratcliffe questions belonging: to a land, to a place, and how we become of that place. Hag stones are proposed as small portals. Through casting and moulding, they become offerings for our bodies to carry to and from Ireland’s land/scape.
Spacecraft’s attendance is made possible by the support of Culture Ireland and Limerick Arts Office.
