To receive this African Curator Award is an honour that speaks not just to my efforts, but to the collective heartbeat of our continent’s storytellers.
My deep gratitude goes to @afaawards for seeing the strategic value in our narratives, & for shining a bright light on the economic and spiritual power of the African creative economy.
Thank you to my family oMamputa - oMaduna namaGcina for the warmest love, support, divine protection and guidance.
To every African creative : Your gift is not a luxury; it is the currency of our future. We are not just making beautiful things; we are building generational wealth and defining our own identity without eternal approval. Our power is self-derived, and our value is non-negotiable.
Let us continue to commit, not just to creating, but to owning the infrastructure that celebrates us. Our rising tide must lift our own ships.
To everyone who cast a vote, who believes in my vision, and who champions the work of African Artists: Thank You. This award belongs to the community we are passionately building together 🤍 Camagu

Music For Your Eyes
A unique exhibition that bridges the worlds of visual art and music. This innovative showcase brings together a diverse collection of artworks inspired by the rhythm, emotion, and creativity inherent in music.
The aim is not only to celebrate the beauty of music, but also pay homage to legendary musicians who have left a mark on the world.
This exhibition also incorporates interactive elements, inviting you to download and listen to a curated playlist while you enjoy the artwork.
“Music For Your Eyes” is a testament to the idea that art and music are not isolated entities but rather interconnected expressions of human creativity.
In the words of the artist and curator @jariiid ,
“Art decorates space and music decorates time“

Imagine a gentle evening bathed in flickering candlelight. The air hums with the calming scent of bergamot and sage, as steaming cups of herbal tea set the stage for indigenous knowledge and lessons in chemistry by @tervinbambiso .
At the heart of “Sound Intentions” lies the belief that sound is a powerful unifier, a tool for transformation and healing. A curated blend of gentle live soundscapes featuring indigenous instruments, along with guided breath work, helped us tap into our inner wisdom and creativity. Opening new doors to express ourselves and rediscover the joy of being fully present in the moment.
It was a playful exploration, deep release, and a chance to awaken our hearts and spirit. “Sound Intentions” welcomed all, fostering a community of care and connection lead by @sisonkepapu .
