~ sailing by compass, diving with seals, foraging salt from the edges of the world ~ drinking in sunsets like wine ~ explorations of untouched terrains, singing and dancing on the bow, cooking as medicine, letting the day turn into ritual instead of time…. one of the best trips of my life ~

the first episode of the World’s Okayest Skater Tour 2025 premieres Tuesday, Feb 17 at @feeling.swell in Venice, CA at 6pm ~ & I can’t stop thinking about what this tour truly means. over 200 girl skaters took over the streets in cities around the world. every age. every background. adaptive skaters. first-timers. veterans. women reclaiming space. girls finding their footing. we weren’t just skating — we were building something. ~ a love movement through skate ~ the most powerful part for me? the mentorships. giving back. teaching kids how to skate and watching their faces light up when they realized they could do it. that spark — that belief — that’s everything. in Colombia, we worked with @ninos.del.futuro , an incredible foundation supporting children who don’t always have their basic needs met. I remember them so full of life. so present. those kids taught me more than I could ever teach them. they reminded me that joy isn’t about what you have — it’s about how you show up. and they showed up with open hearts despite despite despite. seeing children hold their boards high, cheering each other on, creating tunnels of support… it felt symbolic of the whole tour. we lift each other. we make space. we celebrate courage. we move together. this tour was the time of my life. I made lifelong friends. shoutout to @lis.lislis !! the community we built — across countries, languages, bodies, abilities — is something I will cherish forever. I’ve been working hard alongside the @grlswirl team and our incredible editor @davidgantz to make sure each episode truly showcases how special this tour was ~ to capture the heart of it, the grit, the laughter, the tears, the movement, the soul. we poured ourselves into honoring these moments so they live within all of us forever. Children are everything. Community is everything.
