Kristoffer Fagerström, head of design at
@notedesignstudio , shares the story of his family’s summerhouse in Torekov, Sweden — a place shaped over time, and lived with through the seasons.
The connection began long before the house. His wife’s family has worked this land for generations, and the idea of building here was carried for years before it became possible.
“There’s a particular quality to the landscape that keeps pulling us back. Nothing is overly arranged — nature sets the tone and you simply follow along.”
Set on a hill overlooking the village and Hallands Väderö, the house is positioned with restraint. From the road, it remains low and quiet. Towards the sea, it opens.
Designed by Note Design Studio, the Pelagus lounge series is part of this setting — developed for outdoor living, and here, used as part of everyday life.
