Welcome back to Book Recommendation Post👋🏻. Extended post from Reading Writing Test Pressing month: San Rocco 15: Muerte (Death) Issue
-
San Rocco is an exceptional publication. Beside some editorial features that it holds and promotes, San Rocco is exceptional simply because they planned their own death (final edition) from the very beginning they started the publication. And here it is, their 15th issue, the last issue they had plan 5 years earlier from their launching in 2010, entitled “Muerte”, Spanish translation of “Death.”
Exploring the issue of death from different takes, and supported by contributing authors such as renowned critic Irénée Scalbert (author of Never Modern), San Rocco tells first of all that their final content (and discontent) is not exclusively architectural, but instead existential.
Investigating the biggest mystery of all being that may never ever be resolved (?); The editorial subtly concludes the ultimate San Rocco mottos: “does not solve problems”, “neither serious nor friendly” and “will not last forever”.
