It takes a village: a band, baskets of fresh eggs, artichokes, not so polished silver. The pleasure of the table and the joy of gathering together in a villa where music and culture are deeply woven into its soul. Welcome to Villa Braggiotti. Our latest project is called Montughi Rendez-vous, a series of intimate encounters shaped by food, sound and conversation. Follow along for the next dates. At @villagamberaia , spring has arrived in a spirit of quiet jubilation. What follows the vernal equinox is nothing short of a gentle awakening: nature stirs and renews itself. Plants and flowers return to life, and the gardens of Gamberaia reclaim their verdant rhythm. Irises unfurl in painterly succession, while the first tender wisteria buds open with unhurried grace. Lemons, having slumbered through their sweet winter dormancy in the ancient limonaia, emerge once more to bask in the Tuscan sun. At Some*thing, a creative agency devoted to luxury hospitality and cultural marketing, we chose to mark this seasonal rebirth with an intimate candlelit dinner, conceived as an ode to the art of hospitality and to the enduring rituals of conversation and conviviality, so intrinsic to the very soul of Villa Gamberaia. It is a moment of renewal that feels inextricably bound to Florence herself, that ancient Florentia, “she who blooms” said, according to legend, to have been founded during the pagan festivities of the Floralia. The calligrapher and art director @bettysoldistudio led a captivating lecture on the art of the table in the Renaissance, weaving together customs, rituals, and etymologies tied to ideas of rebirth and the delicate perfume of the iris. This homage found its echo at the table: an elegant declaration of love to the city’s violet hues, to its irises, and to the golden brilliance of lemons — the Medici’s favoured fruit, immortalised in the sumptuous botanical panels of the court painter Bartolomeo Bimbi. A tribute, ultimately, to our guests and to love itself. The table itself was presided over by the villa’s trustee, Giovanni Paternò di Rocaromana, and one of its heirs, Sophie Schumascher, lending the evening an added sense of continuity and custodianship. Floral arrangements were exquisitely curated by the ever-inventive @apparita___atelier , while the dinner itself was orchestrated with impeccable finesse by @desinare . Photo: @lorenzo_sodi

How lucky we felt to be asked by @villagamberaia to curate a final gathering to close 2025 with something both festive and meaningful. The timing coincided perfectly with @amberguinness launching her new book Winter in Tuscany, which celebrates everything about this land that we treasure so deeply. It felt like the right match, and bringing this together truly warmed our hearts. Both because Villa Gamberaia was our very first client as Some*thing, and because we were able to work with some of our favourite people. So here are a few tips we’d love to share to give your celebrations something extra special: As the brilliant @apparita___atelier says, winter gives you beautiful greens rather than flowers—so let greenery become your table. For a pop of colour, add tangerines, oranges, or any winter fruit that resembles a Christmas ornament and, at the same time, helps cleanse your guests’ palate after a rich meal. Handwriting is always better than printing. If you’re not lucky enough to have @bettysoldistudio in your life, we promise your handwriting will still feel more thoughtful than anything printed. Be bold—anything can be written on. There is nothing better than homemade food; that is exactly what you hope for as a guest in someone else’s home. You want to spend time with your host, not watch them working hard. @desinare understood this perfectly and gave us the most delicious yet comforting food we could have asked for. There is no good meal without good company, and Amber gathered a wonderful, fun crowd that made everything feel like an effortless Sunday lunch. Bring out your beautiful tableware—in times of need, @collebi will always have you covered. The notebooks from @gainsboroughweaving were a small gift guests could take home and use throughout the year; we hope they inspire the planning of many gatherings of their own. We can’t wait for many more occasions like this to come.

Being real is not as easy as it sounds. A lot of things are done for show, or for the trying to be - and yet when Villa Braggiotti flings open its historical-but-oh-so-now doors to the first of many gatherings with character, everything flows. In the residential environs of Firenze, every touch is curated with original charm. From the name placements handwritten by their 8 yo daughter (mine with a special star as a wink and cool ode), to the fresh eggs laid by their own chickens wrapped in kraft paper to take home. In between, harmonious spontaneous singing, cheering, genuine laughter in the sensitively restored music room. Interesting words spoken, meaningful feelings felt. And the realisation that all we really need is a sense of belonging. Of being real with each other. * @villa.braggiotti Creative Curation @something_inthethings @brizadatti @baberougeisme Food @cibreo_firenze & @giuliopicchi Music @seltonmusic Silversmith @pampalonisilver Wine @fattorie_giannozzi & @vignetestarde Captures @matteo.capirola and a bit of mine

Florence was founded by the Romans in 59BC and named Florentia, meaning ‘flourishing’ or ‘blooming’. The city’s naming is closely tied to springtime as it was inaugurated during the Ludi Florales (Floral Games) - an ancient Roman festival to ensure prosperous blooming. Six days featuring theatrical performances, circus tricks and the merry scattering of seeds and wearing of floral wreaths honouring Flora, the goddess of flowers and spring. The name Florentia was chosen to embody prosperity and growth, linking the city’s identity to the season of renewal. At the ethereal @villagamberaia on the Florentine hills, a gentle awakening unfolds: nature stirs and renews itself. Together with @something_inthethings we chose to mark this seasonal rebirth with an intimate candlelit dinner, conceived as an ode to the art of hospitality and to the enduring rituals of conversation and conviviality, inviting words to bloom. * Created & Powered by @something_inthethings 〰️ @baberougeisme @brizadatti Art Lecture, stationery & calligraphy by @bettysoldistudio Floral arrangements by @apparita___atelier Tableware & dinner by @desinare Photos by @lorenzo_sodi With @___imschumi @silvi_lubilubi @alexiapetsinis @elle_spose @monicaballievents @tuscanyblu @madebymadeevents @annafrascisco @arianacasadei

“Summer on the move: small stages, shifting landscapes—always just as I like it. Few clothes, never a trolley, only straw baskets or Indian cotton bags. In Livorno, my hometown, I rediscovered the pop allure of yesteryear at Bagni Pancaldi, a fragment of history poised between the Terrazza Mascagni and the Naval Academy. After the storm surge, they embody the very quintessence of Livornese spirit. My mother’s 80th birthday took us to Capalbio, with a plate of spaghetti alle vongole al @frantoio_ristorante_capalbio and long, languid hours at @ultimaspiaggia_1987 . As always, I left a piece of my heart at @community_capalbio — this time it was the suede bags with embroidered seams by @Sophiehabsburg_official that caught my eye. At midsummer, seeking cooler air, I traveled north to Alta Badia, to Corvara, where I stayed at the storied @hotelsassongher . Among the experiences: a Ladin cooking class at high altitude, in the mountain hut of chef @davidecrazzolara . The last days of summer found me in the countryside with my fiancé, @john_frum_reserve , in Emilia. Only books and afternoon naps. I finished reading The Unfinished Palazzo, the tale of three extraordinary women: Marchesa Luisa Casati, Lady Castelrosse, and Peggy Guggenheim. Tomorrow, though, the road calls again: Naples and Procida. I’ve already booked a pizza @concettina3santi and tickets to see the Veiled Christ. On the island where Elsa Morante wrote one of her masterpieces, we will sleep at the Corricella. I cannot wait!” by @baberougeisme …... #Summering #TravelNotes #WanderDiaries #SlowTravel #SummerOnTheMove #ItalianSummer #LaDolceVita #MediterraneanMood #LivornoVibes #Capalbio #AltaBadia #Corvara #Napoli #ProcidaIsland #EffortlessStyle #StrawBags #SeasideEscape #MountainRetreat #LiteraryTravel #ArtAndTravel #DolceFarNiente

Something is boiling in the pot. As a creative consultancy, we’re constantly experimenting—mixing, simmering, and refining the right “recipe” for each client. Our approach is rooted in a pantry of signature ingredients: art, style, culture, music, and the beauty of well-designed interiors. These are our passions—our flavor stamps—that we blend intuitively to craft projects with depth, personality, and purpose. Like any great dish, the result is never accidental. It’s the outcome of attention, instinct, and a touch of heat at just the right moment. … Villa Angela, set styling by @baberougeisme & @brizadatti . For our latest project, the first Connector Dinner at @wflorence.hotel , the table became a canvas. We invited artist @clorophillas to paint a table live, using only a brush and a single colour: blue. With swift, dreamlike strokes—somewhere between Cocteau and a Florentine mirage—she traced the city’s silhouette across the surface. Domes, towers, arches… like memories drifting in from a parallel sky. Why blue? Because it holds mysteries. It’s the artist’s favourite hue. It recalls nobility and silence, the heavens above and the depth of the sea. Blue is elegance, intuition, magic. The ancient Egyptians linked it to the divine—we see it as a doorway. A table became a canvas. A moment, a myth. And Florence revealed itself not as it is, but as it dreams itself to be. #LivePainting #FlorenceItaly #Firenze #WFlorence #WHotels #DesignHotel #ArtInHospitality #ContemporaryArt #CreativeProcess #ColorInspiration #BlueArt #ModernArtist #TableAsCanvas #Clorophilla #VisualAlchemy #PoeticDesign #FlorenceReimagined #BoutiqueExperience #ObjectsWithSoul #DesignWithMeaning

This summer, we are inclined to believe that the rarest, and perhaps most exquisite, of luxuries is not found in the distant allure of travel, but rather in the quiet, interior act of reading. To retreat—if only for an hour—into the pages of a well-chosen volume is to grant oneself a form of liberty not easily come by. Whether seated beneath the generous foliage of a fig tree, beside a languid window stirred by a civilised breeze, or on a terrace where the sunlight lingers with deliberate grace, the book remains a most faithful companion. These are the titles we have chosen to bring along, in the hope that they will offer not mere distraction, but that finer thing: immersion. Il diario degli errori by Ennio Flaiano, Maledetti Toscani by Curzio Malaparte Il Maestro e Margherita by Mikhail Bulgakov The Unfinished Palazzo: di Judith Mackrell L’isola di Arturo, di Elsa Morante The Beautiful Fall: Fashion, Genius and Glorious Excess in 1970s Paris by Alicia Drake @villagamberaia Photo: @paolo_abate #SummerReading #LiteraryEscape #BooksAndPlaces #ReadInStyle #QuietLuxury #CulturedSummer #WellRead #TimelessReads #PagesAndPlaces #BookishRetreat #ElegantEscapes #ReadingCompanion #FictionAndFoliage #FigTreeAndFiction #SlowReading #BibliophileSummer #InteriorsAndIdeas #CuratedLibrary #SunlitStories #BooksWeLove
