We invite artists of ALL mediums (video makers, metal sculptors , graffiti sprayers, performance divas, activists, researchers, etc….) to submit work for Inside Berlin — A Sanctuary of Concrete, a group exhibition taking place September 14–20 at
@culterim_ Backshop Exhibition Space.
This exhibition explores Berlin’s subcultural infrastructure and the people that inhabit its spaces.
Berlin’s post-war architecture had transformed into creative sanctuaries, shaped by years of cultural work of the generations before us and the ones still fighting to keep them alive. Within them stories accumulate, often speaking of resistance to being displaced or erased.
As the city’s cultural scene faces ongoing pressure this exhibition seeks to hold space for what persists. We want to emphasize on the resilience that continue to define Berlin’s artistic and subcultural communities.

We are looking for works that engage with:
— Urban memory and lived experience
— Brutalism, concrete, and architectural identity
— Subculture, community, and belonging
— Tension between permanence and fragility
