OPEN CALL TO TRANSFORM THE BUNKER! 📢🔊 Together BUMBUM and NŪN are collaborating to transform the bunker in a forgotten forest in Brandenburg into an immersive, collective space shaped by sound, art, light, memory, resistance, and communal joy. For three nights, this space will be reimagined through sound, light, installation, and collective memory. We’re inviting artists to help us transform an industrial, rigid structure into a living, breathing environment rooted in Arab identity, diaspora, resistance, and joy. We invite artists to create or showcase their works that can engage with the architecture and energy of the space. The raw bunker will be transformed with your art held in a space with projections, hanging fabrics, text, light, music, dance and atmosphere. We are looking for artists working across: - Performances: Dance, art, acrobatics, circus - Visual art: Installations, digital artwork, video montages, animations - Light installations / Spatial interventions - Mixed media Nothing is out of the box! Our goal: we want to transform 90mil with visual installations, sound interventions, films and critical conversations. Resistance is the one thing we have, and art is our tool for change. The project asks: • What does an ALTERNATIVE WORLD look like and what does it take? • Are we witnessing the end of the empire, or its transformation? • What does it mean to partake in revolution, not as spectators, but as active participants? THE LIMINAL SPACE الحالة البينية Exploring that transitionary space where you’re in-between, not fully there yet, sort of “in-between” things but on the way to becoming. _________________________________ THUR 23.04 Doors Open: 19:00 Live Installation: 20:00 Location: Stadtbahnbogen 43, 10243 Berlin _________________________________ As part of NŨN MONOBLOC sessions We challenge two artists @_nnuuuuunn_ from @the.melting.studio and @sleeptwitch_ to come together to create an improvised live art installation in real time. Both artists will build a structure, bringing their elements of wax and flowers to reflect on the expressive ways the materials represent constant change, and unpredictability of form with the passing of time. Together we will explore the all too familiar state of navigating between building something new and the questions, uncertainty and chaos that come with it. @mondame__ will be guiding the artists through an eclectic selection of ambient and experimental sounds heightening our senses throughout the performance. We invite you to witness, trust the process and find grace within it and with yourself. And just like that, we decided to create this event series together. We’re so honored to have made this space for such a vision and we can’t wait to see you all there!
