In our exclusive interview with @pole_mag curated by @dhs00011 in collaboration with @33magazine , multimedia artist Antonia-Maria Platzer reveals the intricate dance between her art, technology, and the visceral world of pole dance. A South Tyrol native with a degree from the California Institute of the Arts, Antonia-Maria’s practice is a mesmerizing fusion of painting, performance, and experimental tech, all swirling around themes of transformation and the sublime.
When she’s not conjuring alchemical visions on canvas, she’s spinning and soaring on the pole, allowing her body to become an instrument of expression.
“Pole dance has become a way for me to tap into a deeper sense of self and unleash my creativity,” she shares. The parallels between her art and pole dance are striking – both are about fluidity, about surrendering to the moment, and about crafting a narrative that’s both personal and universal.
