SVARTE GREINER
Svarte Greiner ("Black Branches") is the nom de scène of Erik K. Skodvin, founder of the Miasmah label, who also records as half of Deaf Center.
He is a prominent figure in experimental and dark ambient music, best known for his debut album “Knive” which started the "acoustic doom” sub-genre back in 2006. Drawing inspiration from nature and spirituality, Svarte Greiner blends surrealism, darkness, and beauty too create genre-defying sound collages, characterized by a blend of time-stopping ambient and drone improvisations with electro-acoustic influences.
He has performed extensively across Europe at both intimate small venues and large festivals, notably touring as the opening act for Fever Ray's debut European tour in 2009, adding to a list of collaborations with artists like Jóhann Jóhannsson and Jenny Hval amongst others.
SOFT AS SNOW
Unbound by place or genre, Soft as Snow’s music is marked by a forward-thinking modernity; elements of ASMR and rough sampling, slippery rhythms and noisy textures. They have collaborated with CURL co-founder Brother May, fashion designer AGF Hydra and 3D artist Guynoid.
Their catalogue includes full-length releases on Houndstooth, Beacon Sound and Infinite Machine, as well as a series of noise-driven impro based work on progressive tape labels.
JASMINE GUFFOND
