2025 WRAPPED: 2025 was the best year of my life. I did everything I said I would and then some (per usual). I conquered so many fears (ahhh). I’m so grateful for the support in the physical and the spiritual. Thank you all for being a piece of my journey. I love you all. 2026 …. It’s like that. 💅🏾

whew. for the past 5 weeks I have been a student at Pensole @plcdetroit designing for New Balance as a Color and Material Designer. I was one of 15 students who got selected for this program. As a color and material designer, I had to create my team’s consumer, materials for our footwear and apparel, create our color stories, and color block our footwear and apparel. With that my lovely designers (apparel and footwear) designed based off of the consumer I created. We also had a personal 57/40 project which you see in a few photos. I learned even more about storytelling, how to pitch properly, learned so much about material now I’m peeping things on the street, and how important a CM is; we are EVERYWHERE and deserve to be protected. This was such an amazing program that mirrored what happens in our industry daily. I’ve NEVER been this vulnerable in showcasing my creative process like this y’all know I’m the NDA queen. So for me to showcase daily my process in its mess and for it to get critiqued was so eye opening. I had to learn to be confident in it. There’s so much more that I learned that I can’t even put into ONE post. Special thank you to my team, the everyday run, we did so great for Saben! You all are so talented!! Shoutout to my fellow CMs, we did that!! Thank you to all our chairs, especially CMs chairs Ms Suzette & Haydee, yall pushed me to be an even stronger creative and I’m eternally grateful for yall. E. Scott thank you for always believing in me and helping me make my heel come to life! Yall I made a heeel ahhhh. I met so many amazing people who are now my family. Love you all and can’t wait to take over the industry with all of you 🫶🏾 Shoutout to my roomie now sister @lexxxxxxo , I love you so much. Room 3024 really held so many memories, tears, laughs, dances, and so much more man. We balanced each other out during the highs and the lows. I’m so grateful and honored to have you now as family. We in 4L🫶🏾 Lastly, thank you to all my New Balance mentors man. Thank you to the brand and everyone involved for seeing me. This is a crazy way to end off the year.
