Amelia Island Dance Festival 🌴✨ Last week was truly magical. Amelia Island is a place where the arts are deeply valued, and being welcomed into such a generous, supportive community felt like a gift. The festival, led with vision and care by @firstcoastdance , the board, staff, and the entire team, offered an inspiring and diverse program. It was more than performances, it was dancing with purpose, connecting with others, and celebrating the joy and healing that art brings to a community. My heart is full. I had the joy of teaching both Floor-Barre and Salsa workshops to participants ranging in age from 10 to 80. Watching people of all ages move together was a beautiful reminder that dance is universal, ancestral, and for everyone. This spirit of connection carried onto the stage, where sharing En honor a CADA VIDa, a work born from personal loss and transformed into a celebration of life, was met with warmth and openness. It was equally meaningful to share the stage with such inspiring people and incredible artists, whose passion and generosity made the experience unforgettable. Beyond the performances and workshops, traveling, creating, and sharing this journey with my closest friends (@danzajuan , @jocelynlburns , @estebansantamaria_ , @nicolasfiery ) made it even more special. I carry immense gratitude — to Susie and the @ameliaislanddance , to this extraordinary community, and to everyone who supported our journey along the way. Attending the 56th Gala of @ballethispanico last week felt especially meaningful ✨ For the past four years, I’ve had the privilege of working with this incredible organization. As a Latina, being part of this community is deeply personal. March was a month of community, growth, and stepping into new spaces 🙌🏽 I stepped into something completely new through the BWS Workshop Series with @revlatina , immersing myself in musical theater and finding a community of artists who inspired me, challenged me, and made me feel so supported. Truly so grateful for the friendships that came out of this experience ✨ In between, I was preparing for @accentdancenyc Spring Season — such a joyful process surrounded by beautiful humans — while also sharing work with @nicolasfiery at @thehiddenjewelboxtheater and @artsonsite for @rebelliouscreatives and @lawtondancecollective program. Creating and performing alongside people I admire is something I never take for granted. I’m also incredibly thankful to have been part of @aguaardientethemusical pre-production, a new musical premiering next month, and to have connected with inspiring artists at the Choreographer’s Summit with @balletcollective . And the biggest blessing of all… my grandma is cancer-free after 6 months of fighting 😎 My heart feels full because of the people I got to share this month with. My soul feels recharged. Closing the spring season with @accentdancenyc this past weekend felt incredibly special. I had the joy of performing Echoes Between Us by @mtian._sun , a powerful work that weaves together contemporary dance, ballet, and elements of Chinese folklore while reflecting on identity, memory, and the echoes between ancient history and our present lives.  Grateful to share the stage with such inspiring artists and to be part of bringing this story to life. September was a month I’ll never forget ✨ From sharing my work in Florida at the @ameliaislanddance to standing in silence for peace at @lincolncenter (Table of Silence), from premiering Echoes Between Us with @accentdancenyc to opening Hispanic Heritage Month with @ballethispanico CAPS, from being commissioned with @nicolasfiery to present Babel at Making Moves Dance Festival to dancing with @tumbagany in Massachusetts. Along the way, I was grateful for the chance to share my story offstage too, through a feature in a local Amelia Island magazine and an appearance on national television. It was not without its emotional challenges, but I’m grateful for the balance; for the laughter with friends, the races run, the hikes taken, and the quiet strength found in between.
