My newest artwork “LLSL Trap” is included in the group show “come together” at Weißfrauen Diakoniekirche. The sculpture emits organ tones recorded with historic zinc-led organ pipes from a 19th century 2-foot stop. The sound comes from two custom resonators, and is structured by chance operations into 59 short segments of sound (circa 16 minutes) and 30 silent pauses (over 4 hours). "LLSL Trap" relates to my previous work "GGAAFFISEC" (2009), aspects of the architecture and situation of the building, as well as the exhibition setup of "come together", a group show with 46 artists, who present their artworks in an industrial shelf system, all curated by Jens Lehmann and Martina Wolf.
Until 21. May!
LLSL Trap, 2026, slate stone slabs, threaded rods, steel shelf, laboratory glassware, rings and clamps, a bird’s nest, loudspeakers, amplifier, audio player, 2-channel audio (16 minutes of sound in 59 segments and 4 hours of silent pauses in 30 segments), 130 x 60 x h 480 cm.

Happily looking forward to the opening of “come together” on Friday, 24 April, a group show with 46 artists at Weißfrauen Diakoniekirche, Frankfurt a. M., Germany. Curated by @kuratierenkollektivWFDK . The site-specific work “LLSL Trap” is my participation, a sculpture with sound made from metal, slate stone, laboratory glassware, twigs, a bird’s nest, and electronics. The sounds are made audible through glass resonators, and were generated from historic zinc-lead organ pipes, then composed. Here are some pics during the making of and setup…

Very grateful and still really flashed: I will receive the Darmstädter Musikpreis (Darmstadt Music Award) 2026! This is a huge recognition of my practice from my hometown! The award ceremony will take place at @centralstationdarmstadt on April 13. The Darmstadt based Hip-hop artist @jovan_mp3 will receive the Musikpreis grant. See you there.
