I was honored to have judged @catsjellicleball and take in this magnificent cast of Cats! So proud of my @thekennethard as Old Deuteronomy! He absolutely slayed!! Iāve always known you had a fantastic voice, Ken from your days as Electra but you were ridiculous as Deut!! Amazing!!! And just glad my lady @dycro33 got to partake in the fun with me! 'Small' closed its run at The Globe yesterday. I've been thinking about this play a lot. Largely about the content, and how it takes a swing at answering difficult questions about what happens when you find out your dream may not be for you...and what you may do to try and make it happen anyway.
Also I've been thinking a lot about Robert Montano's performance, how it must be hard to tell your own story with such fire and fervor on stage with zero breaks. Robert was doing *work* up there!
As important as the artistry and honesty is I was also struck by the man. I've worked with a lot of well known folks at this point and Robert is up there with the kindest and sincerest of them, taking extra care to make sure we got what we needed.
I almost never wear hats because, y'know, the hair...but hats off to Robert Montano and the entire team behind Small.
