👉Well let’s discuss👈 I ask as anyone carrying a gun for work or self defense which of the training programs more closely resembles actual engagements. Now there is a time and place for line style training but you should not live in it. Shooting and training for competitive shooting will absolutely translate to skills wanted in actual engagements. All to often, especially in the LE community there is a stigma against it, that’s it’s just a game or “will get you kilt in da streets” To be successful in competition you have to learn the run the gun at the top end of speed and accuracy. (both things wanted in a gunfight) as well as while moving around, possible no shoots, stringing together complex shooting situations, adding a little stress and getting heart rate up. Along with that add in extreme muzzle discipline, efficiency with the weapons system and manipulation. It’s a win-win to add this into your training and skill development. If your in this line of work seek some training from guys that shoot guns for a living. I went in at the Texas State Open Championship with 3 goals. No DQ, 3 Mikes or less, and get top 100. Made all 3. Never did I thought I was going to get a win. 4 years of shooting strong and finally got it. @vikingfirearmsllc Vali only had 4 matches with her before a major I will say she did most of the win. Placed 69th 😏 out of 310 shooters. 2nd in B class Open Minor at that. Mistakes were made. All I know is trigger freeze is going to be the death of me. It was fun shooting with all the guys out at Texas State Open and the ROs that help out the match.
