Dignitary protection is risk management made personal.
Every decision: positioning, movement, and awareness
directly impacts the safety of the principal.
This isn’t reactive work.
It requires anticipation, control, and disciplined execution.
That’s what we’re focused on during Dignitary Protection Fundamentals at Police Week.

Grateful for time on the ground, reps that matter, and environments that allow real work to happen.
Huge thanks to @the_ranch_texas for the continued opportunity, trust, and access to a facility that supports serious training and professional growth.
Places like this are hard to come by, and they do not take their mission lightly.
Even more appreciation for my industry brothers who continue to show up, share hard-earned experience, and help shape the standard.
No egos, no shortcuts, just professionals investing in professionals.
More to come. Always focused on doing it right.

Police week @the_ranch_texas was a success. We were happy to join @procypherps instructing dignitary protection to the awesome group of first responders that came out.
Security does not fail only at the moment of contact.
It usually starts earlier, when layers are weak, spacing collapses, access is not controlled, or complacency sets in.
Dignitary Protection is built on layers.
Outer layer: identify and intercept problems early.
Middle layer: manage movement, spacing, and access.
Inner layer: protect the principal and maintain control under pressure.
When those layers are ignored, the detail becomes reactive. When they are disciplined, the team creates time, distance, and options.
Awareness matters.
Spacing matters.
Control matters.
Prevention matters.
This is the mindset behind Dignitary Protection Fundamentals during Police Week at The Ranch.
We are not just teaching officers to stand near a principal.
We are teaching them how to think ahead, manage the environment, and prevent the threat from getting close enough to dictate the outcome.

Dignitary Protection is one of the most critical — and least forgiving — skillsets in law enforcement.
At Police Week, you’ll train with Jim Wenzel of Procypher Protective Services, bringing real-world military and federal executive protection experience directly to the field.
You’ll learn how to:
anticipate threats, control movement, and position yourself to protect the principal before contact is ever made.
Whether you’re assigned to protection details or want to expand your operational capability, this is high-value training you don’t often get access to.
2 class blocks available daily: May 14–17
Police Week is a 4-day, 100% free training event for sworn U.S. law enforcement.
If you’ve already RSVP’d, check your email to confirm your classes.
If you haven’t yet and you’re sworn LE, join the waitlist at the link in bio. We’ve expanded to make more space available 🙌

Protection is a prevention discipline.
It starts before movement, before arrival, before contact.
Anticipate
Prepare
Prevent
If problems are reaching the principal, something earlier was missed.
That’s the focus of Dignitary Protection Fundamentals at Police Week.

You didn’t see it.
And that’s where problems start.
Most failures on details are not tactical. They’re awareness failures.
Missed indicators.
Poor positioning.
Lack of control.
By the time you recognize it, you’re already behind.
That’s what we address during Dignitary Protection Fundamentals at Police Week.

Planning and preparation are where protection actually begins.
Before movement.
Before contact.
Before anything happens.
Protection work is not reactive.
It requires anticipating problems, controlling variables, and preparing for what may develop before it ever does.
That’s what we’re focused on during Dignitary Protection Fundamentals at Police Week.

In law enforcement, your vest protects you.
On a protection detail, it protects the principal.
That mindset shift changes everything.
Protection work is about positioning, awareness, and placing yourself between the threat and the person you’re responsible for.
That’s what we’re covering during Dignitary Protection Fundamentals at Police Week.

He didn’t come out of nowhere.
He was already inside your space.
Most problems on details don’t start with the attack.
They start with positioning, spacing, and awareness.
Too far. Out of position. No control.
That’s what creates opportunity.
During Police Week at The Ranch, I’ll be teaching Dignitary Protection Fundamentals for Law Enforcement focused on fixing exactly that.
