Two books, almost three decades of design and one enduring philosophy. ‘The Evolution of Home’ and ‘Beautifully British Interiors’ are more than portfolios of work - they capture our ethos in print - documenting not only how we design, but why.

Muddy boots by the door, dogs by the fire, garden flowers in hand, The Courtyard Room at WOW!house is our take on practical country living. Designed with family life in mind, the space functions as a rear entrance hall flowing into a boot room and dog room. Screens by @titchmarshandgoodwin , painted in @benjaminmooreuk ’s ‘Barefoot In The Grass’, help define the space while keeping it connected. An antique dresser from @arcadiaantiques sits alongside terracotta pots by @seaview_gunwalloe and accessories from @gardentrading . The fluted marble sink by @artisansofdevizes offer both function and form. Overhead, lighting by @charlesedwardsltd softens the timber floor in ‘Old Wood’ by @colour_republic and a textured ceiling by @havwoods . Taking centre stage is a drapers table, crafted by @titchmarshandgoodwin with an Arabascato top from @artisansofdevizes . Final touches include hardware by @matildagoad and a rug by @pelicanhouse_ . Photographed by @horwoodphoto . #WOWhouse2025 #TheUltimateDesignerShowhouse #PrepareToBeWOWed #WOWhouseAtDCCH

A sunny, spirited heart to the home. In our Scottish Estate project, the family kitchen was designed to feel warm and lived in. A round dining table is framed by two upholstered wingback chairs, while timber flooring, rush-seated chairs and a dresser painted in @farrowandball ’s Indian Yellow add relaxed, rustic charm.

A timeless bathroom that proves less can do more. In our Chelsea Townhouse project, the constraints of its listed status called for a more creative approach. Working within the existing footprint, we focused on thoughtful planning - pairing a classic marble-topped vanity with a roll top bath and layering muted tones with tactile finishes. The result is a space that feels understated and indulgent, while remaining true to the home’s original character.

Despite its city setting, our Grade I Historic London project draws on a distinctly rural sensibility. With the British countryside at the heart of our design DNA, we reimagined what was once a white box room as a classic, country-inspired boot room - practical, characterful and entirely at home within the wider scheme.

Art is integral to every Sims Hilditch project, shaping the atmosphere and adding a distinct narrative to each space. Curated in collaboration with @cramerandbell , the collection in our Chelsea Townhouse project draws on both contemporary and classic influences. “Pieces were selected for their tonal harmony and emotional resonance rather than purely decorative value” ~ Gemma, Design Director.

“All that magic blends into a new-build house that feels gorgeously broken in - things gathered rather than installed, with a warm embrace that welcomes you in from the mist in wet boots and makes you feel immediately, deliciously at home!” Thank you @fredericmagazine for the wonderful 10-page feature on our Scottish Estate project - find the full piece in their latest edition.

In the sitting room of our Chelsea Townhouse project, materiality does much of the heavy lifting. Layered and inviting, the space is designed to balance relaxation with sociability. “In here, a considered mix of bespoke joinery, upholstered pieces, and antiques creates depth and comfort, while carefully chosen statement pieces introduce moments of interest and conversation” ~Design Director Gemma Holsgrove for @homesandgardensofficial .

The open-plan kitchen and dining space of our Chelsea Townhouse project is both practical and beautifully resolved. Tailored joinery, banquette seating and a bespoke table maximise space for relaxed, informal dining, while curated artworks and textiles soften the architectural structure of the space.

A guest bathroom defined by quiet restraint. In our Historic London project, muted olive tones, antique artwork and aged brass finishes sit alongside a Georgian-inspired washstand, creating a space that honours the home’s period character while introducing a more relaxed sensibility.

The decorative approach for our historic Chelsea Townhouse project centred on creating a calm, refined look that balanced historic gravitas with contemporary comfort. Inspired by the soft London light, the riverfront setting and the artistic heritage of Chelsea, the colour palette developed into gentle greens, earthy neutrals and natural materials.
