Last Thursday we teamed up with @nutmegandclove for a night that brought Vancouver and Singapore a little closer, through cocktails, creativity, and a shared love for the craft.
It was an evening full of energy, connection, and seriously good drinks. Huge thank you to Colin Chia and Sim Sze Wei for bringing the magic behind the bar, and to everyone who joined us to make it such a vibe.

World Class Singapore 2026
The most exciting innovative competition of 2026 has came to an end for me due to unforeseen circumstances. I dropped out.
The level of competition is high; the creativity, the showmanship and the quality.
Thank you for the opportunity to be silly in front of everyone and for everyone to indulge in my presentation for the Johnnie Walker Black Ruby round (basically @michael.john.s and everyone made the drink happened). It was fun, it was nerve wrecking but I’m glad I did it as best as I could.
Best of luck to the rest of the Top 20! I know each and everyone of you will do your best and excel! Are you guys ready to be the greatest showman? It’s your show time now! Till next time!

Being part of the bartending community and being in World Class is where I want to be. In life we need to be bold to take the step towards your goals. Like in the show; there is a quote that goes “No one ever made a difference by being everyone else”. We are bartenders; we are showmen. 12 years ago in World Class Singapore; I remember vividly a gentleman named Peter Chua (@slash284 ) presenting his rounds where he did his punch bowl challenge where literally made a flowing punchbowl and a tiki mug with his face on it; and I thought to myself: “What a showman he is!”.
So in 2016, I participated in World Class myself and being a part time bartender I did not prepare myself and I tried to be like everyone else. One decade later; this World Class opportunity came again. And this time, I want to be different. I want to be the greatest showman for this moment and hope to make a difference.

Anyone that knows me knows that I enjoy walking. It is my way of finding clarity and planning for the day, week or month. THIS, is my walk of my bartending journey!
*The History*
Working in the corporate for 10 years has muffled my voice for my passion in F&B.
*The Coincidence*
By pure coincidence, I helped part time in a bar the now dysfunc The Library. And found my voice and passion for the world of cocktail bars.
*The Begining*
Ah Sam Cold Drink Stall is where I first really became a bartender; a part time one while still in the corporate job.
*The Risk*
If I can not give 100% to what I do, I should go. So I left corporate to join ATLAS.
*The Adventure*
After 2 amazing years in ATLAS, I was hungry for more. And I moved to Caffe Fernet to explore.
*The Return*
A opportunity came; and I took it. Partner of Ah Sam Cold Drink Stall; where I first started as a bartender.
*The Whey*
How do I recover from the fatigue and still work the whole shift at Nutmeg & Clove?
Ingredients easily found that helps to recovery. Banana & Sea Salt for Potassium and Sodium which helps with hydration. Citrus fruits for Vitamins. which helps with strengthen defence and convert food to energy. Whey for Protein for building and repairing of tissues.
I always believe food is not just food; it is a way of life. It nourishes not just the body; it also nourishes the soul. The journey is long but with each step you grow; you build yourself and strengthen your body and mind. My walk is not over; my walk has just started.
