What a day! We’ve had our 4000 copies of this year’s One Hull of a Read book delivered!
Year 6 students across Hull will soon be receiving @simonpackhamwriter@foxandinkbooks ‘Zak Monroe is (NOT) my friend’ the chosen transition book for the city- and we can’t wait to get into their hands!
A huge thank you to the wonderful @the_rabbithole.bookshop_ for supplying the books again this year. You really are legends! 🥳🎉

Can’t wait to start the project on June 24th with a live virtual author session in every Year 6 class in the city!

I could be biased I suppose, but Clare and Fintan's new musical gets its world premiere this week. Performed by the outrageously talented young performers of The British Youth Music Theatre, I'm quite certain it will be brilliant.

We can finally reveal our next ‘One Hull of a Read’ title.

We are thrilled to announce that 4000 copies of Zak Monroe is (not) my Friend’ @simonpackhamwriter@foxandinkbooks will be winging their way to our Year 6 pupils next term, alongside an activity book, to be read and completed over the summer.
Simon will then appear at @big.malarkey and embark upon a city-wide tour of our secondary schools, meeting his readers when they are in Year 7.
To celebrate we are hosting a special ‘Book Birthday’
