Askonas Holt is pleased to welcome Simon Höfele to the roster for worldwide management.
The German trumpeter has performed with some of the world’s most celebrated orchestras, including the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, BBC Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, SWR Symphonieorchester, and the Mahler Chamber Orchestra. He has given recitals at Wigmore Hall, Wiener Konzerthaus, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, L’Auditori Barcelona, Philharmonie Luxembourg, Bozar, Elbphilharmonie, and Konzerthaus Berlin.
A committed advocate for new music, Simon this season gives the world premiere performance of Lisa Streich’s new trumpet concerto with the WDR Sinfonieorchester, which he also performs at the Lucerne Festival. He also presents the German premiere of Glanert’s Trumpet Concerto with the Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg. These follow premieres in recent seasons of new works written for him by Miroslav Srnka, Konstantia Gourzi and Mark Simpson.
Further highlights this season include his debut with the Lucerne Symphony performing Helena Winkelman’s Trumpet Concerto under the baton of Duncan Ward. The concert follows a return to the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin in January for Nina Šenk’s trumpet concerto Dialogues and Circles. This month Simon teams up with frequent collaborator Elisabeth Brauß and the Württembergisches Kammerorchester for a tour of Europe, and May brings a debut with the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI for Matthias Pintscher’s Chute d’Étoiles.
An exclusive recording artist for Berlin Classics, Simon’s 2020 release Standards earned him an Opus Klassik award. Later this year, Simon records a new chamber work by Christian Jost for piano, trumpet and percussion with Frank Dupree and Christoph Sietzen.

Bei unseren Partnern der aka@adwmainz sowie der @villa_musica_rheinland_pfalz fanden überdies KAMMERKONZERTE statt – alles aufgezeichnet von @swrkultur , der Ausschnitte am 4.10. im Abendkonzert senden wird.
