Experience an evening of photography interpretation with a Living Pictures performance this Saturday 9th May!🩰
Living Pictures is an evening of poetry, music and dance that reimagines how we encounter the photographic image. Inspired by the research of artist Tom Lovelace, the event explores how photography can be “opened” through live, performative approaches - shifting it from a fixed object into an active and unstable material.
Presented in collaboration with @photoworks_uk and aligned with their P5 Photo-Poetry Pamphlet Series, Living Pictures brings together three artists - @ellasadieog , @phyllipa_ & @tomlovelacestudio - exploring these intersections through spoken word, music and movement. Music in reel by @phyllipa_

A good friend, and fellow photographer, Sam Faulkner approached me last year with an idea he had: to create a platform where artists could easily swap fine art prints. No buying, no selling, just one artist looking at another’s work and thinking: I’d like that on my wall.
I loved it! And after many months of hard graft, Sam’s vision is now a reality. The @print.swap app is now live.
Celestial #005_12_2021, a scanned cyanotype from my Celestials series, is now available on Print Swap now.
Photo Rag, 8×10”, no borders, edition of 10.
Why not take a look and consider joining?
How it works
Upload an image. Other artists browse. If someone wants yours, they propose a swap. You look at their images and decide. Both of you say yes, or nothing moves. Once you do, Print Swap handles production to your specifications, and both prints ship.
Two artists. Two decisions. That’s it.
Why now
Print Swap opens on 7 May with an exhibition at The Print Space in Shoreditch. @theprintspace
Upload before 1 May and your image will be considered for one of 50 Founding Artist spots. If you’re selected, that status stays with you in the app.
After 1 May, the platform stays open, but exhibition selection closes.
Every print on Print Swap is produced by The Print Space: gallery-quality output, with artist-defined paper, size and borders. They know how to get a print right.
The platform is live now. Swaps open at 8pm BST on 7 May.
Upload before then.

After London by Simon Roberts
Published by @hoxtonminipress
Hardback, 112 pages, 242mm x 306mm
£35
London is defined by its landmarks – the Houses of Parliament, St Paul’s Cathedral, its many bridges, the Thames and, more recently, the gleaming towers of the financial district. These icons have long captivated artists such as Canaletto, Monet, Whistler, and Tissot, each seeking to capture the city’s shifting light and form in their work.
The works gathered here are shaped by that same unease. Each portrays a faintly recognisable London scene yet is emptied of human presence – vistas suspended in a strange hush, where landmarks appear unstable, submerged, or already slipping back into the embrace of nature. The compositions are tranquil, their palettes subdued and atmospheric, yet beneath their surface lingers a quiet foreboding, as if the city were holding its breath. These are images of London, and yet not London.
In an age saturated with endlessly reproduced images of the capital – its skyline reduced to visual shorthand for Britain itself – this work seeks to resist cliché. As Walter Benjamin observed, repetition dilutes aura; here, instead, the city is refracted through dream and omen, a place dissolving even as it reveals itself. That the photographs are made entirely in camera, without recourse to artificial intelligence, feels significant in our moment of digital hallucination. They are records of a city poised between memory and imagination, between what has been and what might yet come.

We were thrilled to run our first POST workshop last Saturday where 12 participants gathered for the day on our Next Level Photography Workshop hosted by @cranekalmanbrightongallery and @simoncroberts .
Thanks to all participants for sharing their work and being generous with group discussions. It was an inspiring day.
Some endorsements from the day-
“Thank you so much for the workshop on Saturday! It was really worthwhile to be able to share my work, cut down some of the cobwebs, and get some direction—and also to meet and see the work of the other participants. I’m taking your advice and feeling inspired to revisit the full body prints.” Sloane
“POST is a fantastic venue to host such an event & an important community hub for creatives which is clearly much needed in the Brighton & Hove area. You should be very proud of what you've built. It's an exciting place to be.” Simon
“Just wanted to say thanks so much to Simon and Richard for the workshop on Saturday, it was absolutely brilliant. Really appreciated the feedback, and the way they both worked together, the advice always felt nicely tailored to each individual project. And such wonderful work from everyone, it was hugely inspiring, and incredibly helpful.” Donna
