I’ve always been fascinated by tales of mermaids. In many cultures, mermaids symbolize the transition from girlhood to womanhood. They’re often seen as mysterious beings caught between two worlds, just like many girls feel while growing up. Their dual nature (half human, half sea-creature) is frequently used in folklore to represent curiosity, change, independence, and the pull between safety and adventure.
