A couple of weeks ago, @ferncoleauthor announced she partnered with @simonmaverickaudio for the audiobook of Starfallen and the other books in the series. I was one of the lucky chuckaboos who received an ALC.
As you know, I’m a number one fan of Fern and Starfallen, but people, this audiobook is out of this world. @fionaspeaks did an amazing job bringing Cass to life, and @simonalison as Kieran makes me want to listen to the same chapters over and over again.
If Starfallen wrecked you while reading, be prepared to feel it all again tenfold. I think I’m going to do an immersive reread next while waiting for Book 2.

Hearing the magic of the Court come to life was truly enchanting. Even though these chronicles were already housed within my archive in physical form, the audio record offered an entirely new perspective on the journey. It is proof that a story can evolve every time you re-experience it. 📜
The individuals chosen to breathe life into these characters did a brilliant job. Their ability to project distinct personalities through voice alone was impressive—specifically the sassiness and snark of Cassie, which was captured with perfection. 🔥
If I were able to adjust just one element of this artifact though, it would be to have opted for dual narration. I found myself wishing for the echo of the male voice more throughout the story, rather than just the few chapters near the end for Keiran's POV.
While a physical relic will always be my preferred way to traverse a story, this ALC has opened a new doorway for ways to re-visit those special favorites. 🥰

Last year we shot our 'impossible scene' of Cradlemoor's setpiece village fayre. This scene was filmed at Poltimore House a week before it burned down. It wouldn't have happened without the 140+ people who came out to help bring it to life, bringing props, costumes, making lanterns and building/lighting the scene.
The videogame Cradlemoor, which can be found on Steam - contains almost 20 hours of live footage and hundreds of variations of the story which evolves throughout multiple playthroughs. We are currently patching in the last few bits of filming and also assembling the game.
