Had a great time last night at @samanticsuk first gig of his new #tour at the @palladium_club_bideford . Didn't even take any photos it was so good, but here's a tour poster so you can go see him live too. It was a great 2-part show - really well thought through. Talk about backing yourself.
Had an involving and great time a couple of days back assisting with the continuation of a pilot I was filming late last year. Much bigger crew this time, so I just played Camera Assistant & Runner. Some crew I knew already, but it was great to meet @natsturner and @espritfilm and the drivers/owners of the cars @louis.greenaway & grahamdodridge
This video from Elena Rossini illustrates a phenomenon we've noticed when using attention-seeking social media and offers what appears to be a workable alternative. We've certainly noticed a marked improvement in engagement on our federated accounts, and we own the server they're posted on too.
Went on a company outing to see The Salt Path at @merlin_cinemas Tivoli this week. Was great to see our friend @oliviahedwards in the big screen! Olivia stars in our short film "Booted" that's still in post-production, but out this year!
We’ve got some great news! Sword and Fiddle Productions recently signed an agreement with fantastic Exeter-based singer-songwriter duo @sound_of_the_sirens to use “The Part Where You’re Gone,” one of the tracks from their 2025-released album “The Other Me,” as the backing music to “Booted,” a short film shot in mid-2024 that we have in post-production now and has been crying out for music to go with the footage.
The song itself is a perfect fit for the film (if you’ve been involved and listen to the album, you’ll hear it immediately) and having linked up with Abbe and Hannah, there seems to be a commonality of attitude and purpose that we’re excited to explore further.

Very excited to say that our first narrative micro-short film is being released on
**TUESDAY 2nd JULY at 11AM**.
You'll find it on our Sword and Fiddle Productions social media and (later in the day) on our website. We had a great time making this, depite the pressures of time and location. Writing a cohesive story that (nearly) fit under 2 minutes, and then trying to get everything we wanted filmed in a single morning with just one camera and limited lighting was certainly a learning experience! Please do check it out on release day and if you like it, share with wild abandon!
