how long till opportunity meet preparation??
last thursday on the 1st night of NYFW, @bbcicecream hosted @went2yahood along with a few other wavy brands for a night of community and culture. What a lot of ppl dont know is Went to Ya Hood was born at BBC, literally. I used to walk up and down the sales floor thinking of how I wanted my pieces to look and marketing tactics, how i would utilize my connections… i dead debuted W2YH on IG while i was on break downstairs. So much of the way i think about community and business comes from what I learned while i worked at the shop. I left and came back like 3 different times tryna run it up on my own lol and the door was open each time i returned thankfully. I came from managing two stores before BBC but when i 1st started here in 2016 i purposefully wanted to be a sales associate so i could have the energy when i got home to develop my own story. exchanged wages for my time, which felt crazy at the time but now i understand it all. 9/11/25 was beyond a special moment for the brand. And the energy that day?!? MOVIE 🎬 Thank you to my @bbcicecream family; to the ones i came in with and the ones that are still in my corner. @damien_zap@julz7179@mimzsquared #RICHIE @lundonraine@9livesrock@jared.james__ // To @riversidedrive1@stfuyoutalk2much@sprtyk we in the building, uptown forever! we came thru STURDY shittin us // and Thank you to everyone that popped out for the brand, reposted, copped a piece, showed love in any way… ever. You’re apart of this moment and we couldn’t get here without you
