Here's a long overdue post on one of our first projects with Carlos from @silverlakeprojects ! It's been a long time coming for Carlos and his 964 backdate, but it's almost there! This was essentially "Version 1" of our harness design and hardly bears any resemblance to what our harnesses look like now. Even so, we were able to work with the Ares and the @sublimesilverlake team to get the harness installed, perform a systems check to get it on the dyno. Now, with the help of Beau @bbrtuning for calibration, we've got our four liter friend running at a healthy 349HP! There's alot great details in the rest of the car that we didn't get to cover, but perhaps we'll get to share those with you once the car comes back from interior. SIlverlake Projects Porsche 911 GT3 style intake manifold for your ITB or DBW application for air-cooled or water-cooled Porsche engines. They are available in temperature cured carbon prepreg or glass fiber reinforced thermoplastic. Each plenum weighs around 825 grams or 1.8 lbs, as compared to 2400 grams or 5.3 pounds of the cast aluminum OEM version. Turn for our intake system for your air-cooled Porsche engine running ITBs. The intake system includes: - 2 GT3 style intake manifolds in real prepeg carbon fiber or glass-reinforced thermoplastic. - Intake T tube for air filter in glass-reinforced thermoplastic - Resonance flap or resonance flap delete tube in glass-reinforced thermoplastic with vacuum actuator - 6 high temperature silicon manifold to runner couplers - 4 high temperature silicon manifold to T/resonance flap couplers - TMAP sensor - All mounting fasteners in titanium alloy - Vacuum reservoir 60% weight savings! More than 15 lbs in the back. The full intake weighs around 4.5 kilograms or 9.9 lbs, as compared to 11.5 kilograms or 25.3 lbs for a stock 964 intake! Why our system? - 50% lighter than stock.
