A mysterious little titanium compact camera somehow convinced itself it belongs in Wetzlar now. We’re not saying identity crisis… but the tiny red sticker seems to have boosted its confidence considerably.
Still cute though.

What a weekend at the Leica Experience Days in Wetzlar!
Over the course of the entire weekend, Leica invited photographers, companies, and creatives from all over for an amazing meet & greet centered around photography. So many great conversations, inspiring seminars, and genuinely wonderful people all in one place.
A big thank you to Leica for organizing such a special event and for inviting us!
This year, we also brought along a scanner setup to demonstrate how easy it can be to digitize negatives and slides. With us was the completely upgraded and reworked 2025 Plustek 135i — a really impressive device that makes film scanning surprisingly simple while delivering excellent quality.

Stefan and I tried out the new 5x7” OpticOldSchool large format film for the first time. We had already tested the 35mm and medium format versions before and really liked the look, so we were very curious to see it in large format.
Color film in 4x5” and especially 5x7” has become quite rare, which makes this a really exciting addition to the market. Seeing those large negatives come to life on the light table was something special. More soon about the details and our first impressions.

When Minolta built the Dynax 9 (Maxxum 9 / Alpha 9), they didn’t design a camera—they engineered a fortress.
Weather-sealed with gaskets. Stainless steel body shell coated in UV-cured polymer. Stainless steel mirror box. Lubricant-impregnated stainless steel mount. Zinc and magnesium structural components. And at its heart: a brutally fast vertical-travel shutter with carbon-fiber reinforced blades capable of an astonishing 1/12,000s. A world-record figure that still sounds unreal today.
The spec sheet reads less like photography gear, more like something cleared for military deployment. Yet it was built for film photographers.
