🤩 Students in a CPP Micro-Internship turned an idea into a real CPP Farms ice cream flavor. This project came together through a collaboration between @cppceo and @siil.cpp , with support from us, @ourcpp , @kellogghonorscollege , @cppcce , @oai.cpp , @coneyislandcreamery , and more!
They created CP & J, blending chocolate, peanut butter, and strawberry jam. 🍓🥜 It will be available on campus soon, so stay tuned.
Today, SIIL students presented at the @cpp_ai_fair to showcase S.A.A.M. (Somewhat Advanced Autonomous Machine), an affordable scale model of TARS from Interstellar brought to life with a developed AI system. Designed as a bold, hands-on learning experience, this project pushed the team to explore robotics, coding, electronics, AI, and project management while developing a system of moving rotational points on a robotic limb. 🤖🦾
We are incredibly proud of their creativity, innovation, and drive to take on a project that challenged them to think big, build boldly, and bring imagination into reality!

Today, the Office of Academic Innovation proudly launched the inaugural OAI Collective, a first-of-its-kind event at Cal Poly Pomona celebrating student employment as a powerful pathway to career readiness!
Bringing together staff and student employees from across all OAI units, the event showcased the projects, contributions, and growth that happen when students are given meaningful opportunities to learn by doing. From building key career competencies to making a real impact across our campus community, our student employees are helping shape the future through innovation, collaboration, and hands-on experience. This is what Become by Doing looks like!

What an incredible spring break for the SIIL team! ✨
Last week, we had the opportunity to connect, collaborate, and get inspired through two exciting retreat experiences. From visiting the @harvey_mudd Makerspace and exchanging ideas with their student managing team to welcoming the @classcpp Dean’s Office professional staff into Maker Studio for tours and hands-on activities, it was a week full of energy, learning, and meaningful connection.
These moments remind us how powerful partnership, peer learning, and student-centered innovation can be. We are so grateful to everyone who helped make both visits so engaging and memorable. Enjoy some highlights from an amazing week!
