UNMASKED BONDS is more than a photography project itâs a reflection of my journey.
As someone who was late diagnosed neurodiverse, finally having the words to describe my experiences brought a wave of clarity and peace. For the first time, things made sense the overwhelm, the exhaustion, the constant masking.
But what truly changed my life was finding community specifically, other black neurodivergent people. In those spaces, I felt seen. Understood. At home. I realised that friendship shouldnât be something I had to work so hard for. That I didnât have to shrink myself to be loved.
This project is my way of honouring that feeling. Of celebrating the quiet, powerful connections between black neurodiverse friends. Thereâs something sacred in those bonds something that doesnât need to be explained, only felt.
I believe every neurodivergent person deserves that kind of friendship. The kind where you can unmask, rest, and just be.
To my incredible participants

@shameless.stas @aoki556 and
@am4ka thank you. You made me feel so at ease, even when I was anxious. What couldâve felt like a daunting shoot ended up feeling like a chill hangout. Your openness, warmth, and energy made this experience unforgettable.
Thank you to
